  1. Lol small price to pay but for the benefit of making it last it's worth it.
  2. Some here with the church slipping as soon as I get into about 10+ psi in 5th&6th gear. Also thought that maybe it's not helping with putting the power down as well. Anyhow I now have a new NPC heavy duty clutch installed and whilst the pedal feels Alittle harder, it bites well (after the 1000km running in period). Inspecting the OE clutch and flywheel afterwards it sure needed replacing.
  3. Hi guys, Need some helpful advice please... Clutch (standard) is on its way out on my 2012 xr6 turbo. The cars putting out 270rwkw's and I'll be aiming for 350-400 when I'm done. What clutch should I use as I want something that's still very drivable on the street. Abby help would be much appreciated. Cheers

    Boost dropped

Yeah sure has. Is there a common spot for pipes to crack?

    Boost dropped

Do I start with removing piping to check for cracks?

    Boost dropped

Yeah I have plumbed it off the bov now as you said. still unsure as to why it has dropped in psi though...

    Boost dropped

Hi guys, Need some advice if possible. I was running around 16psi then swapped the boost gauge hose from the hose that links the turbo to the boost solenoid (autobahn fitted), to then re route to the hose from a top of the turbosmart bov. I did this because it wasn't showing any vac. Couple days later my boost dropped to 8-9psi!!! ?? Any idea why this could happen? The car has been remapped also.
  8. Yes it was sluggish to begin with. The shop only let out go because I needed it in the road for work purposes. I think I need to look closer at the turbo. With it taken out can it be visually inspected to see if it is anything to do with it or the actuator?
  9. All good ideas but could it be anything to do with the turbo itself?
  10. I'm guessing if it was electrical I'd feel it as I've had split coils before and that's easy to spot. However the vacuum might be a goer. my boost gauge doesn't show ANY vacuum at all!! How do I check for a leak though?
  11. Hi Guys, Being new to this site I was hoping this would be something that some of you guys have come across as I'm at a bit of a deadend with this issue. I have a 2012 fg xr6 turbo ute, Love the car. I'm chasing around 350kw at the wheels. Now its manual with 95,000ks. It went in for a stage 1 power upgrade a a very well established and known workshop (guys were great there) that I wont say where. it was put on the dyno with only about 215 kw at the wheels. They said its below standard! on went a venom cat and 1000cc injectors and tune. Result... about 240kw at the wheels. I was shocked. They checked alot of things ie cracked pipes, exhaust and so on. No result. The car drives somewhat sluggish and im getting fullboost (16psi) around 4200rpm. Also it never breaks traction. Has anyone come across this before? Please help as Im unsure whether to keep going with this car or sell up.
