Hi Guys my xr6t is my pride and joy and she always will be, but I have a 4 year old boy who is an absolute petrol head, his obsession with car dvds (summernats/drag racing/burnout comps) is to say the least F@!#ing scary from a dads point of view. I dont want to race my T on the track too much due to the fact that my wife uses this beast for too and from work, so any dammage from full on racing would be costly and a great inconvinience. So I have had a bee in my bonnet for the past few months as to what I will do next. I will buy a second car that I can strip down and rebuild and MODIFY with my son at my leasure, but what the hell do I get. I grew up with ford escorts which are great cars but found that trying to get cosworth heads and the like BLOODY expensive. What I am looking for is a smallish car which is capable of being heavely modified at a reasonable price, eventually when it is complete I would like to enter track racing events. Just looking for some opinions and advice as to my options Cheers

Very happy with the performance, I am still driving easy to bed them in but you can just feel the massive differance compared to stock (with brake shudder ) money well spent $1000 fitted.

Hi Guys Just had some slotted rotars fitted along with EBC Red ceramic pads at the front and EBC Green at the back. Only done about 70km and they squeel quite bad is this normal for this style of pad or will it take time to wear in correctley. Cheers

Give it time, but please consider the edit, for reletively small dollars will transform your already super quick turbo into an absolute animal of a car that honestley feels like sitting in a jet just as the pilot throws full throttle on and pins you back in your seat. 10 months since my edit and tune (plus a few other bits) and the car still puts a smile on my face every time I drive her. I will never forget wiping the floor with with a maserati grand tourer convertable, only 3 days after the edit MATE this guy was spewing ( flashing his lights and waving his arms around like a madman).(this was on a private road ofcourse) I couldnt get the smurk off my face for the rest of the weekend

Hi guys, just after some suggestions as to what the problem is(it may be part of the exhaust im not sure on these things.) as of the last week both my wife and myself have noticed the car sounding louder,slightly more power and the turbo seems to spool much lower in the rev range, but only very slightly. the car is a 2002 xr6t with injectors extreme tune and k+n filter. Is it possible for a muffeler or cat to fail. Would appreciate any feedback Thanks Richard.

its going in to xft to get injectors and pump and re dyno, as it was left a bit down on rwkw due to a problem with the air box

Well guys ive put one on order,the missus rang up this morning to see what was available and it was a toss of the coin between (NOCHNCE) and (8U4T) both submitted by XR6T8 U, cheers mate I went for 8U4T on smaller than normal metal plates in black and white. NOCHNCE is also available if anyones interested. should take about 4 weeks so will post some pics when they are on the car(should look sweet) thanks again to XR6T8 U
