  1. Hey mate, I got it done with a HPC coating.
  2. You are an absolute champion, 100% proves I bent the sump, thanks heaps for that.
  3. Should have mentioned, that’s just a photo of found online to show which sump it is, unfortunately I don’t have the sump as the box is at trans shop at the moment. The sump definitely had some external surface marks but I don’t have any photos of it. Without having another sump to compare the inside to its hard to know if it indeed is meant to be flat in those areas that he indicated, he did mention the pick up left a mark on the sump indicating it was pushed up far enough that it was flush on the pick up as per the photo attached.
  4. He told me the bottom of the pan has been smashed abit, I seen it before I handed it over and there was no clear dents however it could have been bent without me noticing to much. Sorry should have mentioned it’s a 6hp26 and just converted to a 6r80, so In that case it might not be a 6r80 sump. The gearbox was slipping bad on the 3-4 change and when I took it back the pressures where upped in those gears, in that period the car was driven hard frequently as I was informed that it just needed more pressure. He mentioned now once it’s apart that due to this issue it would have just been masking the problem. I’ve attached a photo of the clutches sent to me and also a photo of the sump I’m running.
  5. Hey all, Just dropped my built ZF 6r80 off last week for a check up and have received a call back letting me know that the clutches are hammered due to the sump getting hit and restricting oil flow so the box needs a rebuild with new clutches. Transmission builder told me that something has been hitting the sump which has caused it to bend and block the oil pick up which has now starved the box off oil and that’s why this issue has happen. The attached photo is what I got showing the bend, it was explained that the red circled area has a gap of 1-2cm and that should be flat across the pan. I’m very careful with my going over speed bumps but can definitely say it has scraped a few times, can anyone confirm if the gap his referencing should Indeed be flat or if I have caused the issue. Ideally if someone had a sump and could replicate the photo would be perfect. If I have caused the issue that’s definitely on me but I just want to be sure what I’m being shown is correct.
  6. Hey, So I’ve just picked up a G6E T and currently have a water leak now has anyone has this problem and if so know what the cause is. Thanks,
  7. Hey, so I’m in the process of buying a G6E turbo 2013 mk11 and took it for a test drive last night and snapped the flex plate bolts. Is there any other damage this can cause etc twisted zf shaft or anything else along the driveline. Was wide open in second and flicked it back into first but didn’t hit the limiter and that’s when it all occurred the car still drive after that just at idle could hear the bolt ticking around. Cheers, Chris
