I know I'm years late but I've tried to do this on my fg 2011 and the white connector plug will not plug back into the sub when I shave the sides off. Can anyone help me or does anyone have any photos of them doing it? It will plug in normally but not in the reversed direction that RHR is suggesting. Any help is appreciated thanks guys.
