    V8 Regrets

    It all depends on how much you want to spend & how far you want to modify your car. If you don't care about spending big bucks & your chasing BIG power & you don't mind getting everything Engineer certified, then stick to a V8. At the end of the day if you do the same work to both cars, then the V8 wins. However, if you want something that looks like a standard family taxi, mild power (up to 300RWKW) & no hassles with the law, then the T wins. BTW... is putting a Blower on V8 street legal?
  5. Why do people assume it was a GT? All all they sad was it was a blue FPV. If it was an F6 then you know who was winning & why they didn't get the plates.

  8. Never heard of that before... One intake mod only!? Is that an actual law?? I know that cutting/removing any structural part of the car is illegal, unless you get an engineers certificate of compliance.

  10. Congrats on cracking into the 11s! Yeah, that was me. My mate talked me into going. I thought it would be a bit too late/hot in the day to run & I was right. I ran with half a tank of fuel to avoid it leaning out but, I still worry about caining these cars on hot days. I really do need a better intercooler to reduce the heat soak more. :( ...not to mention better tyres! It was the car's first time on the track & mine at Heathcote Raceway. Next time you come over let us know & we'll meet up earlier.
  11. Hey bloosted, was that your orange phoon I saw there? How did you go? All I saw was the low 12 passes @ 114MPH. It was a lot better than what I could manage - 12.7@114MPH & 2.3 60' with crappy Nankangs! :( Your Semi-Slicks must have helped hooking up a bit more. Anyway, it was to HOT to get a good ET that day, track temp was 35 degrees & I even had the air con on!
  12. Isn't there some degree of car modification involved for the fitting of some of these Intercoolers? Also, what type of tune & boost level are we looking at for these tests?

  14. I asked Nick (Wog) to paint mine ALL black before he put it on (I like stealth & no "Show Pony" stuff). As you would expect though, he forgot! Luckily he needed to remove it for the Trans cooler install & we did it then. Merry Christmas.
  15. The difference is, the vac/boost sensor is in the engine bay & only 3 wires(in my case) are run inside the cabin to the gauge it self.

  18. To tell you the truth, I can't notice any performance gains but, it does prevent pinging in case I get a batch of bad fuel, especially in hot days. I only use it when I plan on going to Calder Park wih my 'Extreme Tune' loaded. I don't see a need to use it any other time.
  19. I only use 3 Nulon products in my engine... Synthetic Oil... Coolant... & Pro Strength Octane Boost.
  20. So the standard pipes will just bolt up to this IC? If so, then you may not have a problem, if you have the latest flash update in the ECU.
  21. Big red bulging eyes & the tongue hanging out are a bad sign.
