OFFICIAL PETITION TO FOXTEL/OPTUS TO CREATE A FULL TIME MOTORSPORT CHANNEL sign here http://www.autosports.com.au/tvpet/ Due to the overall lack, and now as of 2006, Channel 10's decreasing involvement in televised Motor sport in Australia, AUTOSPORTS and Australian Motor sport fans have decided to host this petition to insist that FOXTEL/OPTUS create a dedicated channel for the basic pay TV viewers, televising motor sport 24 hrs a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. We believe that with the multitude of televised Motor sport both in Australia and overseas, and the vast amounts of footage of historical races from the early days of world and Australian motorsport there should more than enough material to support such a channel. Ranging from such Motor sport categories as WRC, F1, A1, WTCC, British Touring car racing, Truck racing, MOTO GP, and all other bike racing categories. Not to forget our talents in Sports sedans, Improved Production Cars, Aussie legends, Lotus Trophy, Drags, Hill climbs, off-Road (Borneo, camel trophy etc) Rally, Porsche Cup, Indy cars, stock cars, salt lake racing… the list goes on... One example of the continual growth of Motor sport in Australia would have to be in the category of Drifting. At a recent even at Oran Park Raceway in Sydney, there was a crowd well in excess of 10,000 people, and this event was organised by word of mouth. We believe it is currently unfair that both FOXTEL & OPTUS, as an example run a full time dedicated AFL channel which shows games often many years old between two teams where we already know the result, yet Motor sport hardly gets a look in. If FOXTEL/OPTUS were to run such a dedicated channel they would surely have access to hours of international and local racing footage. Whether new or old, the chance to watch a race or event that may have never been seen before would be fantastic. With the Motor sport calendar only really running for 9 months of the year in most of the major categories, there would be a great opportunity for such a channel to tap into a starving market. SPONSORSHIP I am sure that there would not be a problem finding sponsors that would gladly fund such a channel. Companies like Super cheap Auto, Repco, Oil/Petrol companies, Car manufacturers, Beer and alcohol companies are all examples of companies/industries that currently sponsor free to air Motor sport in all forms. With less televised motor sport, up and coming talent will find it more difficult to secure sponsorship deals. This money is vital if these young drivers are to get to the top of their respective racing category. With the involvement of a dedicated Motor sport channel there would be a lot more opportunity for young drivers to fund their careers through increased awareness and greater sponsorship opportunities. Hi All I am rarely one to complain about bad service as I usually seem to get pretty good service in the car industry but I have to warn people of Nengun.com They are a Japanese performance parts business who prides themselves on supplying Jap parts at cheap prices but I would warn anyone considering dealing with them not to. Over 2 months ago I order a very expensive item from them which arrived today and ended up being the wrong part. Originally I emailed them as I could not find the part that I required and received an email from someone who gave me a link to the item on their web site. I clicked on the link and there was a vague description of the item and a photo that looked exactly like what I was after. I placed an order trusting that I was being led in the right direction and was told I would receive it within 21 days at the latest. Today I received the part and it wasn’t what I ordered, so I emailed them and they basically told me off saying it was my fault and that it’s now my problem. I have never come across such bad service, especially from an internet based business that should look after their clientele more so as they don’t have face to face contact with there clients. Anyway, be aware that these guys aren’t into providing service at their cheap price. I guess the old analogy stands; you pay for what you get.

DAMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mine did this very thing this week. I got on here trying to get some good news, but dam, my car is out of warranty and it will now cost me an arm and a leg to fix the bloody thing. Hey Mate I just had my heater stop working on my BA XR6 T also. Sounds like the same problem, I turn the dial and the temp doesn't change. Everything else works fine, especially the A/C, BRRRRRRR! Anyway, what did you do to fix yours in the end as I will need to fix mine now too. Any info would be great. Anthony 0419 044 472

I doubt whether a bee's dick thickness of paint would make any difference to the efficiency of the air flow into the cooler though. If that were the case they wouldn't paint them at all. And yes its an FPV badge, car now has the full Typhoon kit on it too and it looks bloody awesome. Zedman

I did this $5 mod the other night. I even did it in the dark and it still looks great. Just mask up the bar, grab a can of silver paint and start spraying. Cheaper than updating the intercooler Zedman

I scratched my FPV Typoon 19" wheel today, (DONT ASK) Anyway, need to get it painted and need the paint code but Ford dont have it. They would tell me if they did, but they just dont have it Would I do best to just ring FPV and ask them? Zedman

I would recommend baby oil, it does great work to the dash, but like everyone else who seems to be giving advise, I am not an expert. Speak to a trimmer as he might be able to vinyl spray the dash and if you put anything on it it will be a battle trying to paint it so I wouldn't touch it until you check first with someone who does know how to fix/repair it. I have the FPV Typhoon 19"s, (scratched one REALLY BAD tonight too, don't talk to me about NOT HAPPY!!!!!) Anyway, they are different front and back offset wise as they are designed to fit the Brembos at the front. Zedman

All I know is that when I bought he said that it had been reset and I tried to load up a factory program and it came up with a code 21 with is a wrong vehicle code. If anyone knows him PLEASE get him to call me, I deleted his details thinking that everything was ok but obviously not. Thanks guys Anthony

Yeah dont talk to me about the wheels, gutter scratched both of the pass side ones today, not to bad but NOT HAPPY JAN! Bloody car park concrete wasn't wide enough and so low I couldn't see it. B#$%^RDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
