So why put it in the owners manual without some disclaimer? (Not that you are able to do anything about that ... just a gripe) ← Fair comment and one that I personally took up with my dealer after trading a Fairmont Ghia for an F6. I never had a problem adjusting the volume in the Ghia but for the life of me could not in the F6 so with the owners manual in one hand I took on the dealer who said it is so simple you just follow the manual and do this. Mmm …..Many hours and days later after much correspondence they said it can’t be done and it should not have been in the manual!!!! Far out!!! Same sound system etc but it’s just is not installed the same and as such it doesn’t work as per the manual unless it’s a Ghia. It’s just another little “Ford Thing” ← MMmm, maybe its just a couple of wires hanging behind the FCC that need to be plugged in somewhere, they're not plugged in because Ford don;t think it should just like the footwel lights..

Good on you Slymeat for starting this thread, I have a question for you which I think I know the answer to but you may like to go into a little bit more detail. How would somebody deal with people who abuse you while you drive your car from inside of their car? I'm talking about such things as language, spitting at you, throwing items from their car for the purpose of damaging your car, speeding past you then getting in front of you and pulling the hand brake?

did it for a while in my BA n/a, its started giving a bit more noise every time up until the day I gave it back to the lease company but never broke.

Thay should take it off and fit a new one on there for you or at least refit that one, in my BA I had the slimline windshield on the driver's side that started to come off, I took my car back anf they fitted a new one.

May be able to but you'd need to get into the guts of it which will kill warranty and if you're not careful, the ICC too. I don't know if it would be worth it.
