Even so I think its still uses less energy with as the pixel isn't shining as bright, as with a liquid display on a calc, lol yeah its the other way around it takes more power when all black.
Check this out, save some KWts www.blackle.com it’s a Google based search engine in black as a black screen takes less energy to draw then a white one. (fewer pixels turned on)
Hey all, I'm looking for a nice small digicam that can record on small media such as small dvd discs and also backup to external hard drive through a pc or not, I am thinking of taking one on holidays with me. I've been looking at the Canons and Sonys but am interested to see what some of you might recommend?

you can get avi to gif "converters" or for what you want to do you need a avi to jpg or gif non animated converter which will put all the frames in a folder as pictures then use some sort of gif compiler to make an animated gof, I did this years ago by using a prgram I found on a PC magazine CD. you can get these programs off the net I'm sure but you may be limited to what you can do with them unless you give them some money to activate the "pro" version or the ones you get for nothing are plagued with spyware, adware , ect. Perhps someone here can do it for you.
Thought I would try out this media player I heard lots of good things about, I downloaded the free sersion of BSPlayer but it come bundled with WhenU Save adware program that send out span through your SMTP account an brinf up add while browsing the web all the time, I uninstallled BSPlayer but it didn;t get rid of WhenU Save. Web searches points to files and registry key I need to get rid of, ran a couple of crapware removal tools.. STILL THERE! Any suggestions?
that's what I though, we told a supplier about a project we are working on, they offered a laptop as a possible solution to evaluate for some time as long as we would write a review which is when this thing came to me. I removed some screws to allow me to open the undercasing to have a look inside to alow me to complete the review for them, I handed it in and we have now been charged for the laptop because warranty had been voided by my actions. I'll have a look to see if the unit has any stickers as you mentioned but I think I would have paused if I noticed any. Thanks..
If you are given a laptop to eveluate and write a review on, is the warranty voided if you open the underneath to have a look at the build then replace it? Everything is in working condition but I would have thought if you are given something to evaluate to help you decide wether or not you are going to purchase 40 of these things and on top of that are asked by the supplier to write a review on it the warranty is not voided, it isn't voided anyway is it? what is you need to upgrade the RAM for example?
No they are not, So you might be saying thatone card understands 128 bit while the otherone may not because for example it could be older or something to that effect?
Why won't some PCs with winXPSP2 and good wireless network cards allow you to connect to the wireless router with 128bit encryption yet will have no problem with 64bit encryption. When comparing a working PC's settings to one that won't work I see no difference.
To make a really long story short, I’m working on a project at the moment that involves installing Windows CE based terminal in our fleet of trucks, now this unit has a custom built program on it where the truck driver is able to record instances of things ( I can go into full detail if someone likes). I am in the Recycling services business and that is what these are for so I have built a demo unit on a mini wheel bin which I’ve also built with the unit sitting on top and all the wiring inside the lid. As you can see by the picture it is a rather small bin and is at times difficult to move around and I was thinking a retractable handle at the back of the bin would be a perfect solution for that.
