ok, let me clear that up my tuner isn't the exhaust or actuator guy. I bought the car with a 14psi tune in it done by a sydney tuner. When I called that tuner he told me it had been tuned to a manual boost controller hmmm. This is well known tuner. Anyway, actuator is dying as well but it has 1000cc injectors, cooler, pump and some other stuff I did so see what happens.

Nah this ones been mentioned plenty of times here. I use to work in the industry- lpg so it gives me some kind of reference and a lot of catch up knowledge here has been great from all.

Thanks puff you are a champ. Yea I was a little suss on this guy he is well respected up here though. Didn't know the difference with BF cat ect. Funny thing was it wasn't in his catalog either. It showed the BA twin cat under BF. So yea, got a $200 quote on the phone and $550 when I dropped in. I thought it was bad when I said I had a V8 now its insane at the mention of turbo. So that's $700 for an actuator install lol, $550 for basically a cat and some pipe in the same week. Don't think so, going somewhere else. I got the tuner down $500 off quote as well. It must of sucked in the heyday with these things. Thanks again.

Puff or someone, what is exact size bf twin exhaust (ID and OD). I was told by an 'expert' today its 2.375 (60mm)? I actually hope it is if its bigger. Thanks.

Penrite has this 'extra ten' approach no one really knows why its pretty old advice considering they are using synthetic oil now. The most important number is 40 that's what ford recommends.

Don't use HPR10 as recommended by penrite. I f you want to use penrite use HPR5. 5W-40 full syn from any of the major players is the best, Castrol, Valvoline, Shell, Mobil One. If we were in the US we would run 5W-30 on the newer cars but that's another story. Look into viscosity index and TBN

My rake is perfect on the super lows kings but its for BF. FG is a bit different I would guess.

Just go superlow Kings, don't use standard shocks unless you want them in your engine bay or your strut towers bent. I have superlow with monroe GT its decent. Would go Bilstein if I had the choice, check out koni and KYB as well, from memory KYB was a bit softer, different car though. Make sure you get short bump stops front and rear and a 27mm front swaybar. Standard rear bar is fine for lowered springs Coilovers pain to set up and every change needs an alignment $$$ unless your into that...

Do the larger oil filters with 3/4-16 UNF 2B thread fit from BF on? Like the larger K&N one, won't be using that though. Does it have to be 2B

Yea mine is a bit smaller than that only just gets to 80 degrees in heavy traffic otherwise sits 55-70. My fan comes on at 75. Will be interesting to see if you need the fan with the bigger cooler

Yep this. I'm being a pain tonight but this is the beauty of this motor. Go e85 tune for insurance or just buy another one. Unless its at the drags, skid comps or circuit everyday.
