I tried to open the door between the time I lock it, and it then beeps horn and unlocks, and the door locks. It also stayed locked on one occasion, but as soon as I unlocked it, it didnt lock again. The dash light that signals door unlocked, flickers randomly. Sometimes it stays off but you try to lock the door, and it unlocks again, so I <3 Bananas knows lol tells me its more likely a drunk BCM. I am going to check the loom going through the door to see it hasnt broken a wire, but given that dash light is now going out now and then, but the problem still exists, I doubt its a broken wire.

where is the best place to buy a green BCM for 2006 XR6T Ute? ebay? any suppliers, wreckers in oz people can suggest? cheers in advance guys
-
NO, door seems to lock, but then unlocks because it thinks the door is open. So, where in OZ is best place to obtain a Green BCM for a 2006 BF xr6t ute?

Hey guys, 2006 XR6T ute. Got an issue with door seems to be open, at least the car thinks so. Doors wont lock. Origionaly the door open light was on, but after disconnecting the battery, this icon goes out when doors close as expected, but doors still wont lock, as if it thinks something is still open. I had faults checked that I was told was passengers door, so changed catch and no change. Anyway, have read other posts that suggest it could be BCM, though icon on dash goes off as if doors are known to be closed. So I guess I should find obtain and change the BCM that controls this function?? if so, where behind the dash is this bloody thing, and, what does it look like? ie when in the car?? (ive seen pics of them but need to know where to look to take it out) is it just a matter of swapping them and it all should work (if its the issue)?? cheers in advance guys

congrast on the sprog as others have said, keep the car cover the seats, its only a bit of a mess. Now I bet driving some big arse heavy sh*t soccer moms car will be more painful than cleaning the seats for spew if it ever happens lol As for those that think, claim they need a bigger car because they have kids, its time to take the wifes thumb off your head lol I dont know how many falcons or commodores you read for sale with "baby on the way, need bigger car", it makes me wander, is the owner a f*cking elephant? you dont need a bigger car baceause you have kids, thas why most cars already have a back seat. If you have a 2 seater, yes you need a bigger car otherwise a pram etc only takes up so much room.

I have dba slotted rotors on my auto bf ute. not 4000s though. fix the problem for about 3 months or so now it has slowly come back over the last month and is as bad as the factory rotors were. car has done just over 150km now. so is it worth replacing the rears? and what front bushes could be causing the problem?
-
my headlights only work with the switch in the AUTO position and obviously when its dark enough. Has anyone else had this issue? if so what was the problem? is it the switch? I have resorted to some tape oer the auto sensor so I can have th elights on in dim light but need to fix it

ok, I thought the compressed air idea would be used but my mechanic hadnt done a set on a falcon yet so didnt know if you could do the job in car, but suggested it most likely, just wante dot check cheers guys so what springs do people recomend? I get the idea the atomics are the way to go?
-
hey guys, whats the average cost of fitting springs? is it s head off job or can be done in the car?
-

here is my Xr6T ute 06 BFII 6 speed auto gets plenty of attention and has got many people asking what I do, and that's turned into a few jobs from people who didnt have a clue what soda blasting is
-
what does it matter, some of the engines some guys kill in burnout comps and or while racing are worth more than a GT. no point crying at the time if it happend
-
mine is my work ute so drive it every day and enjoy it, although will be better with mods and if it were manual.

can anyone tell me if this PDB kit everyone is talking about is any better than a BF set of brakes? other than being only 3mm bigger in diameter, are the calipers any better than BF or are they infact the same? there is a kit here in NZ for sale pbr kit for a BA (solid rear discs) but are the front calipers suitable for BF? id imagine they need mounting bracktes etc to suit? im about to buy dba4000 series rotors and ferodo pads that coust more than this kit will to buy so not using the rears (flick em off for a couple of $hundred) would be better option if the calipers are better

sh*t I ticked the wrong option. I have a morgage and own my T outright. My misuss and I both work full time, got two kids (7 and 13) and wife and I are both 32. I just bought my T the other day, payed 'cash' in a round about way. Took a bank loan to pay for my new sodablasting buinsess which included (oh what a shame) having to buy a ute but that loan will be payed off (but off mortgage) when my redundency and super comes through in the next week or two. otherwise we also own 100%, our '97 RX7 (single turbo etcetc), '88 RX7, 78 RX7, 78 323 hatch, 2x JC Cosmos and a 91 V8 VN SS Commonwhore . Dont worry most of the cars are in various states of (lack of) build lol.

I keep getting log in issues with this site. My auto login doesnt work and it will always go to a page that says 'thsi paghe isnt currently available" or some sh*t. also, doesnt stay logged in, now and then I try to veiw a page and it will go to the page above again any ideas how to fix this?
-
well ieant dimentionaly. I would definately go to a dba rotor, but want to go up to the BF 322mm diameter rotor if its a bolt on with just a caliper bracket change it would be worth it
-
how much work is involved in going from the BA brake rotors to the BF 322mm rotors? do they use the same caliper? is it just a mounting braket change for the rotor to fit?

Im looking at buying an 05 ute with 105km on the clock, 6 speed turbo. Anything in particular to look for, drive train (has brand new clutch) engine, turbo? any typical issues pop up here or to expect with a few more kms?
-
went and had a drive of the gold 05 today. Very nice car, looks and to drive. 6 speed manual. after driving it I have confimed I would prefer a manual lol. Price is good, well serviced and tow bar is factory ford rated at 1600kg. just slightly concerned about kms. but will get a full precheck done next time I go up. Price is bloody good too.
