Being mostly a "good boy" now, and doing any "caning" at track days and autokhanas, rallys, etc, I think that the Phase 1 (and a bit) is more than enough for general duties. If I was more serious about track work, circuit and straight line, then Phase 4 would the order of the day. Beyond that, spend $30k on a proper race car. Speaking of a proper race-car, how about a Phase 4 type deal in a dragster? 350+kw and 600kgs should be good for 8's. Anyone got 2 or 3 spare bare motors available for development?

I can't cut and paste all the appropriate quotes with which I agree, so I'll just have to say that for a vehicle of this type, price, origin and performance........... IT ROCKS :banghead: Just think of those poor punters with their $200k BMWs with more problems than all of the XR6 problems put together........... I was wondering whether an opportunity was going to present itself about this incident. Whilst any needless loss of life on the roads is tragic, when are the "do-gooders" and the media (I use the term very loosely) going to realise that PEOPLE SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS! You can put into place all the rules and regulations that you like, but unless you can remote control every vehicle on the road, an idiot is going to be an idiot and no-one will stop them. In addition to that, as said on another thread, driver EDUCATION should be mandatory, particularly in later school years. Off the soapbox now.

Did the 15000 service yesterday incorporating the "new" brake skim. The original shudder wasn't actually that bad, I lived with it for about 3 or 4000 km, but time will tell whether the "fix" is working.

Hey BDennis, sorry to hear the bad news. I did my 2 left 17" alloys on my Jag a few months back under the same conditions. We have a place here in Perth that can repair such damage. My 2 Jag wheels cost $170 each to repair, better than $600 each for new ones, so when you're in town you can get the other one fixed if you like.
