update on this.. Tried replicating. I cant replicate at the speed listed in the official report of 185kn. I tried in full A/F and 100% throttle, and rolling into a split s I was still carrying a 1000ft even at 160kn. I tried rolling out in full a/b and no throttle. Made no difference. I tried at 135kn also no difference. multiple times I was able to wash out well before hitting the ground. Saying that I will give it another crack but rolling inverted at about 2000ft will guarantee a max of 3000ft before diving and at 200kn I should be able to pull up before 200ft ideally. saying that though at flat level flight rolling into a dive at any speed at 3000ft was a clear hit the deck scenario every time. Roughly 3sec by rolling to the ground. oh and I did save files though they aren't video footage so will have to work out a way to convert or just screen capture

contact the SDRO as a first aspect and get them to look into the case. You can then contact the the ombudsman but its unlikely they will assist as its not really unjust. certainly worth appealing if you need it for work. You will need character references and to prove hardship. Thanks for the reply @barnz Basically my thoughts were similar to yours looking at the video. It was a HPC into split S. Watching the video it looks like there is some sort of failure before it trys to pull up. I was more curious, I knew the guy (not well) but he was highly skilled and well decorated with combat time & medals. Offical report blamed pilot error and speed but I dont buy it.... Report also stated he "tried" to eject before hitting the ground. I mean its not like the u.s government would be covering up mechanical failure on a tiring f 18 fleet now would they. That would be unheard of! Haha Im going to test on the simulator tomorrow and see if I crash coz I think its highly unlikely

Alot of people over here in nsw lol that's all im getting it...power is great and im getting more but you just cant utilise it like everyday to and from the shops. that's all im saying and that's where a small car is more enjoyable, just for those duties. You can drive them on the ragered edge and no one is none the wiser really because they are slow lol
