There is 30mm difference in clearance between the HP & SL in the same width and offset between the spoke and brake caliper if that helps. Either way HP in an 8.5 will have to be rather low offset. Better off with a 9.5 in low +20 range

Jap wheels come in a range of "types" as it were. Work and SSR are no exception. Work comes in O / R / A SSR comes in HP / MD / NR / SL. What this means is the way they move the wheel face inside the wheel. You want to go a HP in the front to maximise clearance of the caliper. If you want some dish in the rear go the SL. Ralphy has been pretty bang on for the offsets above. I can explain more if you want some clarification on this when im home and not on my phone otherwise ask Leo (jdm concept) to give you details on the above mentioned wheel types.

^ this. Buy fg turbo motor. Plenty around. Throw springs in it and a few supporting mods. Job done. Ic going for the big numbers then build the n/a but it doea seem long fisted.

that's not so bad then. Im assuming everything else is stock on that basis, and just added some security in the sense on injectors. Better to have some room than be on the edge of the standard ones and leave plenty for following mods like exhaust/intake/cooler without having to change them again
