last time I typed in "fluffs stuff" I got a shock I wasn't expecting....

yeah no idea what happened there...the 1080s will run fine for the future, at least next few years and a viable RT/DLSS option would be maybe next gen. I do a lot of 2/4k VR stuff so GPU juice is a bonus though not warranted (I don't think anyway) apart from the NVLINK which shows awesome utilisation on both cards. cost I looked at would be around $1200 (or so) fock pcs, should of just bought a laptop haha

well I wont get any gains from going to a single 2080ti unless I really splash and go NVlink and the only other gain would be DLSS/RT which only has 2 games that utilize it anyway. I have plenty of wiggle room to run a 44 lane without changing a thing over this and I could easily go 4.7ghz without too much stress on the cpu I have now specially under a custom loop but as it stands now its on 4.3ghz and it gets bored with everything really, but then again I wouldn't mind a threadripper which I should of got in the first place but I built this for a steal so was a no brainer

I'm running 2x 1080ti AORUS extreme (they hammer and not even overclocked....yet) but there comes my dilemma, should I water cool the whole system or splash out and water cooler the whole lot. CPU Is already water cooled but thermals on this ENTHOO are Shiite. discussions, opinions, thoughts?

if its fan forced then no issue in that location or under the floor mounted horizontally. I had mine that way, mate has his that way and I know a few others have it that way too with no issues

Haha it’s more commercial gear rather than home gear back in 07/08 when they were implemented they were boycotted by any government/defence (in aus) due to secret coding and back doors which were used and still are today. Optus run all its super exchanges and poi on Huawei Dslam for gen 2,3,4 up dslams as well as other ip routing gear which have these such things and was also why they were not allowed in on any form of hardware for the nbn network
