  1. gay? why? Is it becasue they are years ahead of anything made locally? Or too many on the road now a days?
  2. hah..no sh*t I do remember that...from what I remember your ute went hard & sounded mint...loved it. Missus gave me bulk evils for playing though Look forward to catching up at your next Perth crooz man!
  3. to be honest, Im not fussed about power figures. If it makes around 400 at the treads, reliably, then I will be happy. Im aiming for a competent, overall package, capable of hosing the odd Clubsport, whilst remaing easy enough for the missus to drive also. Im a big fan of individuality...so at the moment, Im slightly in favour of the XR6T + customising to my taste....but who knows, one drive in the 'Phoon may be enough to sway one's mind!
  4. damn...that's some collection you got there mate. Must be some job trying to decide which car to take for the day!
  5. Scanning local car yards, it seems I can pick up an 03 XR6T 6 spd for around the 33K mark. For 20K more, it seems I can drive away in a similar aged FPV Typhoon. So for me, this poses a dilemma. My plan is to buy an XR6T and spend about 20K on mods from engine to suspension and brakes. But have FPV already ticked those boxes for me? Do I really need to spend 20K on a stocker when I could just save myself the time? The only prerequisites I have are for the vehicle to handle & stop exceptionally well, plus the abilty to make 400rw ponies all day long on fairly conservative boost. Your opinions, gentlemen....
  6. cheers mate. Since owning the R32 Ive upgraded to Nismo R34 N1 turbo's & gone the usual modification path: Apexi Power FC, Blitz Dual SBC, OS Giken twin plate & full s/s 3" system with custom dumps. All up it's good for 400 whp at 1.2bar. Ive attached a pic for those who dont mind a bit of rice....haha Youngy - I dont work at Center Ford mate, Im currently FIFO up north. Svalerko - I'll be on the hunt for a sedan, colour will be a hard choice though, there's so many I like, but would ultimately like silver.
  7. Name: Craig Age:28 From: Perth Current ride: R32 GT-R "GODZILLA" Future ride: Bombed XR6 Turbo Working: Pilbara region WA, fly in fly out Project Officer
  8. haha thanks man...nah, Ive spent too much cash on the gtr, selling it would just be a waste.
  9. Ive always been a fan of Holden, and still am...Old man always had em' so it was kind of in my blood. I always had a very one eyed attitude, and even when the plaudits were heaping praise on the XR6 Turbo, I still convinced myself they were sh*t. But somehow, over the past 2 years, this car has single handedly changed my perception, and after riding in a few examples, Ive come to realise that it's time to get over the badge rivalry, and discover a true icon in Australian motorsport.
  10. Hey all. Just thought Id intro myself, Im Craig from Perth, just dropped in to have a read through some threads, as Im close to purchasing a XR6 turbo, and wanted to get a idea of the modification potential for these. Currently driving a 32 GT-R which will remain in the garage for weekend duties, want the XR as a quick daily driver, and to have some fun with, so yeah...looking forward to hearing your tales, advice etc. Cheers
