  1. There’s a lot of stuff in that I don’t understand ahahha 384kw, defiantly has something to do with the tune. Getting 5 psi til about 3000 then it starts doing something. Hoping when re tuned it will do some thing.
  2. Im a fan of the factory turbos, my brothers old ba had around 280rwkw (also manual) would have eaten me off the line. The power of mine come on so late, feels lik sh*t at the moment down low. I wouldn’t take him till about 100 (about 3rd) I’d say. Funny that you mention that, when I initially picked up the turbo my tuner tested to see how well the gate sealed. Long story short, it didn’t! Water flowed through like you wouldn’t believe so I had to take it back to the guy I got it from and have it fixed.
  3. I know I hoping for a miracle, but at this point it’s all I’ve got. I really wanna see 600 and I will not buy another turbo (at least not just yet), I need to get a bit more use out of this one. Realistically, I haven’t seen one of those turbos do much more that 550 but I’m still hoping mine will be different ahaha. Tell me about it, the more and more I drive my car the more I think I need a vf club sport. Drove my mates 6.0l not to long ago and there is no such problem, if I do an 11 or better down the 1/4 I’ll be happy though. Getting another turbo would be good for end result but the bigger you go the more lag you get.
  4. That’s what I think, so doing it all (including new tuner). its on 19psi now (spikes to 21 at some points). Mine also doesn’t fully boost til about 4000, annoys the I <3 Bananas out of me cause it’s got like half a second of full boost in 1st and manual so it all has to start again when I change. Raced an ls a while back with 318 and he hept up with me til 4th. I seen a dyno the other day (same turbo and manifold as I’ve got), 518kw and full boost was at 3600 so I guess it’s just the turbo. Lag is a sh*tty thing. ive got a twin 3” manta (supposed to be good for 800+kw), have to wait for all the new gear to go on then retune it and see what it’s like then.
  5. I’d be willing to bet my car at the moment Has this issue, I got 384rwkw and have been told my internal gate is not big enough to get any more out of it. The gate is ported to a 38mm, says if there’s any more boost down low it spikes up high (rpm). Reason why I’m going a 50mm external gate (amung other things).
  6. It is on the car right now with the standard fg manifold and rear housing with the internal gate. When I get it re tuned (new engine going on in a couple weeks), it will have the Johnny tig manifold with a 50mm external gate, housing will be changed to v-band with no internal gate at all. Explain what you mean by getting those pressures? My boost gauge is direct off the plenum, but I have no sensors for exhaust gas pressure.
  7. Two different turbos, using a gtx3582r gen 2 for now (bought it brand new and only done 2000kms so want to get a bit more use out of it). Gonna change the housing to vband then latter on the hole can just be enlarged for other turbo (so I’ve been told). Wanna get used to the power before going an insane amount, not saying 600 isn’t (if I get that out of the turbo, some seem to think 550 will be about max but some say it could do 600
  8. Yea I noticed. Already seen him and decided to go with his manifold. I’m looking at cracking the 600rwkw mark now and at some point down the track 800+
  9. Anyone used both Jonny tig and 6Boost and can give a comparison? I’m looking at getting a high mount manifold with a 60mm wastegate. Was initially looking at 6 boost but had a look at Jonny tig set up today and also told by that particular tuner he prefers JT. Can anyone comment, if you’ve got just a JT and have something to say please do. Pros and cons of both would be good
  10. Need a bit of info on an external wastegate setup? I’ve got a ba car with fg f6 engine, gen 2 gtx3582, 6boost manifold (standard position) and a manta 4” dump pipe. Where should I mount the external wastegate and why should I mount it there (this needs to be a plumb back system) and what wastegate would you recommend 500-550rwkw. Thanks
  11. Got an fg f6 engine and just wondering on what I should be looking at for internals? What parts exactly and brands, will only be running about 550kw ish but want the internals build for 900kw (so when I upgrade again it’s all done) the rest of the car is built for it so may as well do the engine. I know I need head studs (told arp are the way to go) pistons conrods oil pump?? (Already got atomic gears) also got crow valve springs. Let me know what else ill need for internals every other mod I’ve got can support it

  13. I bought this kit https://www.sparesbox.com.au/aeroflow-af30-4000-universal-oil-cooler-line-kit-af30-4000 havent got a cooler or fan yet though, I mainly bought it for the oil pressure gauge and just has a bonus of being able to use it for cooler as well.
  14. How did you go about putting the thermostat in? Like was that your own design or is there something you can buy and is it in the pwr kit?
