  1. 2 x -8 (1/2in) lines is a lot of fuel...you must be building a monster to need more than that. I can drill out a rail that I have and weld in -10AN male fittings if you like. Kev Kev
  2. In post number 17 I said "bring on an independant test" My cores come from China...that's no secret. So you have already done the back to back tests please post the results up.
  3. My new stage 2 intercooler core does not require any metal cutting to fit and is the largest non metal cutting intercooler on the market. These pics show it as part of my soon to be released S2.2 package. (Intercooler, throttle body relocation, under battery cold air intake)
  4. As I said in a previous post I wont participate in this test because it would be biased. SIR20B worked for PWR for about 10 years that I know of. An independent test would be great. It would give the forums members a great insight as to how badly extruded tube and fin intercoolers perform compared to the bar and plate I sell. If an extruded intercooler core worked better then I would use it. Fact is, it does not. Kev
  5. On the street and at the drag strip water temps are well in control even with my stage 3 core. At the circuit..who cares??...they overheat when doing laps with the stock intercooler in place. Kev
  6. So in a drag race situation (which is what 99% of the guys around here are into) the bar & plate is the best option?? needs to be an unbiased test.. You used to work for PWR for longer than I can remember ;-)
  7. I’m up for a back-to-back test of my FG intercooler product against this. I’ll even chop 100mm from the top of it so the plastic bridge doesn’t have to be removed. I can guarantee that my intercooler will still work better (have lower outlet temps)than ANY extruded tube and fin intercooler. I’ve back to back tested many cars over the last 12 years with extruded cores and they are simply not even close to an offset bar and plate core. Bring on an independent test. Kev
  8. Before you choose an air box and battery relocation ask the supplier to send you some good quality close up pics of what you are buying. There is a lot of junk out there now. Spend wisely. Kev
  9. The radiator support in the FG is made from plastic. It also has the mounting points for the factory intercooler. When choosing an upgrade intercooler for your FG ask the vendor if all of the factory mounting points are retained. If any of them have to be removed (cut off) then you will not be able to re-install the factory intercooler down the track...this can be a big problem if you want to revert the car back to stock. The pic below shows the mounting points Im speaking of...the PW does not require removal of these points... There are some very weird and not so wonderful intercooler designs out there for the FG...choose carefully. Kev
  10. Found this on another forum...best video Ive seen in a while Mark Mariani incar video on Vimeo
  11. The FPV models have an extra bracket each side to hold up the front bar Kev
  12. Below is my new stage 2. This is the largest non-metal cutting BA/BF intercooler on the market. It will also be apart of my soon to be released S2.1 to S2.5 packages.
  13. (old pic from Willowbank) Well done Mark and Lee...awesome set up. Kev Edit...Just spoke to Mark...Only had 2 runs for the day but backed it up with a 9.40 @ 147
  14. Hey Mate Just emailed you the installation instructions for the Process West surge tank. The Plazmaman unit is a direct copy/replica/knock off of the genuine product and the install rules should be the same. ;-) Kev
  15. There was a particular tuner in Victoria a few years ago who was detonating built engines to bits at only 400rwks and needed a scape goat...so he decided that it was my plenum that was causing the problem and hence the seed was planted. With more than 1/2 of the cars in the top 25 using my plenum and other cars making record power levels on both pump fuel and race fuels that myth is well and truly debunked. Anyway...nice result above...cant go wrong with Jim and the boys at Tunehouse Kev
  16. Have a look at the top 25 fastest XR6Ts in the land....more than half of them run a PW plenum. Kev
  17. Well done guys.. Would have gone 10.8 with the lighter stock plastic oil filler cap ;-) Kev
  18. Who is tuning it? Kev
  19. A more effecient intercooler will give lower outlet temps (and in turn more power) right from the get go. The factory intercooler is a horrible thing and has bad outlet temps even when stone cold on a stock set up. Kev
  20. Most definitely...watch this space ;-)
  21. they are $180k + on roads now
  22. Correct..the one in the inlet manifold is the MAP sensor
  23. Matt Dont stress...the hose will pressurise instantly...try blocking one end and blowing in the other..you will see what I mean. The hose will come up in pressure at the same rate as your intercooler piping....pressure is constant everywhere. Kev
  24. and the throttle body has different hole centres...and the fuel rail is not the same.
  25. The pics of the XR6T with 1800hp that this intercooler was tested on aren't loading...I wonder why??
