  1. Hi John Good to hear things are going well. I've taken my supercharged Wasp to a similar level (over 400rwkw's) with 13psi and have also found the exhaust to be one of the area's we needed to review and develop in order to achieve more power and effeciency. With nothing much suitable on the market I had some headers fabicated as well as a beautiful free flowing exhaust system that sounds great. Wasn't cheap!! I didn't realise you had gone an built yourself a stronger motor. Love to know what magic Simon has done. Sorry I've been a little out of the loop. PM me if you want to chat. Colville
  2. That set up and finish looks fantastic Sutty. One of the nicest I have seen in fact. Colville
  3. What a fantastic looking car Dave. The wait was certainly worth it. I bet your son is happy about it as well!! Colville
  4. CDAA to Sponsor V8 Supercar driver Tim Slade in the Dexion Racing Falcon! SA based Creative & Web Services agency, CDAA will become a proud sponsor of V8 Supercar Driver, Tim Slade in the Dexion Racing entry for the 2007 Fujitsu Development Series. Tim will be driving the Dexion Racing Falcon, previously campaigned by Jason Bright in the season opening round at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide. Tim Slade is one of SA’s sensational young talents to emerge from the racing ranks of Australian Motorsport. With over 10 years racing experience and having won State and National titles, he knows what being competitive is all about and is keen to replicate successes he has experienced in Karts and Formula Ford, in V8 Supercars. CDAA, which has a proven track record in getting behind community-driven projects, will sponsor Tim for the entire 2007 season. Colville Nette, Creative Director of the CDAA agency stated, “This is CDAA’s first introduction into the highly successful V8 Supercar series and everyone at CDAA is quite excited about the opportunity. Many of our own staff and clientele follow the sport and from a business point of view the exposure and awareness of our CDAA brand should give a worthwhile return . Our sponsorship also coincides with the launch of our new Hosting Division for CDAA. We look forward to our ongoing association with Tim Slade and Dexicon Racing.” CDAA has also developed the website for Tim Slade which will feature up to date information on Tim and the Dexion Racing Falcon throughout the year. 5. I'll go against the majority here and say I think it looks great, even with the Gold stripes and shaker. It's one of those combo's that need to be seen in the flesh and doesn't translate very well in photo's. Anyway if you wanted to blend in you could have bought a Camary. Well done, tough looking car!
  6. See below some closer pics of the installation from KPM Motorsport. Colville
  7. See if this helps: This one doesn't have the Intercooler fitted, but you can see the twon black holes where it would be plumbed in at the front.
  8. Hi Guys, To answer your question I will refer to a statement made by KPM in another thread: "the heat exchanger fits snuggly between the blower and inlet manifold. it is then plumbed to a water to air intercooler front mounted as the turbos. the unit is plumbed to a resevoir and a davies craig water pump pushes the coolant around the system independant of the main cooling system. fantastic set up. no bonnet issues and works perfectly. we have gained 20 rwkws with tuning and inlet temps were under contol on a 35 deg. day on the dyno." http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=30436
  9. Hey Simon, it's been a while hasn't it. This car now gives everything I wanted I.e. muscle car looks & sound and forced induction performance!!Herrod had the kit ADR approved as long as it's on either a stock vehicle or any modifiations are ADR approved as well I.e. like their exhaust systems currently are. Cost for the basic kit drive in/out is around $11k by KPM Motorsport in SA or Herrod, but I have had mine intercooled plus have had the fuel system upgraded (injectors, billet thottle body, high vol pump etc) plus a few other things. If you want more specific prices send me a PM or email. Colville
  10. Just an update, we now have the intercooler fitted. What can I say other than I'm rapped with the result. David and the KPM team really know there stuff. If you're after a turbo like rush but the sound of supercharged V8 you just can't go past this system!! Below is a dyno sheet with the intercooler fitted based on an 'economy' using 98 Octane fuel on a 35 degrees day. This is a relatively safe and reliable tune as agreed on both KPM and myself based on stock internals and the type of daily driving I do. It does no way relect the potenial of the kit for those that wish to go there. <div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div><div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div><div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div><div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div><div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div><div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div>
  11. Herrods quoted figures are based on a complete stock set up (standard exhaust etc) on a XR8 BOSS 260. Obviously mines a 290 for staters, but most people with exhaust and fuel system upgrades (thottle body, injectors, pump etc) can easily reach 400+kW's at the fly or well over 300 at the treads. I've taken the conservative route as she's a daily driver but you can go much further if you wish to. The Wipple set up is only pushing 7-8psi of boost but it's the torque and how it works that's the best thing. Like many F6 owners will already appreciate having over 500Nm available just off idle rather than at the factory standard 4000rpm range completely transforms the BOSS powered cars. These quad cam engines are so well designed to take full advantage of Forced induction (Turbo or Supercharged). It's like having a modified F6 but with a V8 sound track.
  12. Inspired from the American Ford GT500 & GT and with the magic of Wipple, Yella Terra, KPM Motorsport and Herrod. The aim was not to create a drag racing machine, but more a factory-style daily driven street machine that is reliability, reasonably economical and with truck loads of torque down low where you need it (over 500Nm just above idle). This new twin screw Wipple blower kit from Yella Terra is extremely well integrated and suited to the factory FPV components. In addition to the Supercharger kit KPM have added an 80mm throttle body, larger injectors, high volume fuel pump, Oil Breather Separator and a Water to Air Intercooler (going on in a few weeks) to make sure everything works the way it should. KPM has also installed a RipShift 6 to ensure I don’t miss gears plus my GT already had the full S/S Herrod exhaust system, Filter and CAI. Technically my GT is almost ADR compliant which is quite remarkable considering it's conservatively tuned to 314 rwkw's with much more possible if desired. The pictures don’t really do it justice as it’s a beautiful piece of engineering. I’ll be keeping the factory look for now that will continue under the bonnet. No plans for ‘Supercharged’ badges either. I’d rather take the surprise approach! I was very proud having my car sit beside one of KPM's big hp F6 utes at the Ford & Expensive Daewoo show today. A special thanks to forum sponsor David from KPM Motorsport for being an absolute professional and for Rob Herrod for all his support throughout the process.
  13. I would have to agree also. I love my Mk2 GT and have no immediate plans to replace it, but if I was ordering a new FPV today it would be a full loaded BF F6 auto.
  14. I own a Mk 2 GT 6 speed manual (enhanced) and Love it! In BF form if it's an auto your getting the choice is an F6. If you want a manual it's the GT all the way.
  15. Yes, depressing does come to mind..lol Atleast it's another Ford I do still love my GT however, just want an F6 as well
  16. It's just a filter, not cold air induction either which will do not much more than improve fuel economy on a standard vehicle. Having said that I suppose if anyone wants to get picky.... What a great time for both the owner and the car. It's been a while coming for Ford but I'm pleased we finally have a factory Falcon product that will also perform well at the strip in stock form.
  17. Couple of things. Have you considered adding the Herrod headers to your cat's back system? I have the full Herrod S/S system with quads and it works a treat. The cats back system alone only adds a few kW's but the full system with headers gives you around 20-25 rwkw's. I don't know much about the EXEDE piggy back, but the flash tuner edit in the hands of an good tuner is a fantastic, giving much better low down grunt and a higher rev limit. Average gains are around the 30 to 50 rwkws.
  18. Love the BF F6. Much more than the BA which as others have stated looked to much like a cut down GT version. The F6 is a car that deserves much more than that. As for the 19"wheels, I love them!! Only thing I don't like is the single exhaust. Even the Focus XR5 gets twin exit pipes!
  19. What he said^^^^ man that car looks the goods. Followed by the XR5. I love the new F6, especially with the new 19" as Simon mentioned, but not sure about the colour bionic.....yet Love the look for the new GT as well, but again not sure about the colour toxic yet either.
  20. Yes it was hence the echo. Actually made it hard to record clearly. The sound files not bad but to be honest it sounds much better in relality.
  21. For those that requested a sound file of my WASP GT, enjoy. Colville gt.mp3
  22. Sound file is coming guys. The first one didn't work that well so I'm arranging another. Hey Nang3, the GT is a ripper mate. Thge more I drive it the more I love it. With the Herrod changes the thing pulls hard from almost any gear and the sound...did I mention the sound??...lol
  23. Thanks mate. I'm an art director by trade which may have helped..lol, but no I'm not a photographer. Rapid is a very vibrant color and reacts well with the fluorescent lights of my underground car park (using no flash). The camera I used is pretty good to (FinePix S7000).
