yes seen 2 and another two with faulty tensioners that were picked up when doing valve springs

the ford hoses are plastic, they do not seal very well long term when modified, you are better off getting new hoses made up and not having issues, my thoughts are still to get the correct size hardware

I haven't seen a failed ZF at all yet, but incoversations with 2 leading specialists they both say flow is critical the ZF uses 1/2" or 13mm pipes etc to maintain flow, PWR are the only ones I know of that do a kit with the correct size hoses, fittings, cooler etc

Thank you very much everybody, although we have known for maybe 8 or 9 weeks we wanted to get as many test done as we could to ensure all was well before opening our mouths.

with out sounding rude about your mechanic, but you need to take it to somebody that can diagnose it properly for you, running it on 91 will not rectify anything

that size cooler is too restrictive, you need a bigger flowing cooler

Guys thanks for the well wishes re Bels appointment yesterday, as I said we did not believe it to be a major concern, although it is something that will change our lives forever, she has an issue that affects many females and they deal with quite well she has a condition called pregnancy. we have known for approx 8 weeks but wanted to get the checks done to try to ensure a healthy baby, at this stage all is well and we are 14 weeks today.

some zf cars will read higher when dyno'd in 3rd compared to 4th

not a rub at all, just trying to save your wallet, you're already out of pocket possibly $450-$500, you may kid yourself like many do and say "well it was probably due for them anyway" but that attitude may send you broke

get it diagnosed correctly otherwise you could just be chucking money away on guesses, but you may be lucky and get it on the next guess

thanks guys, Bel is generally ok, it's just this appointment was made 5 weeks ago and all of a sudden things are under pressure, so it's not as bad as I may have made it out just wanted to vent due to having a bad day

what do you mean? they have a boost cut when stock around 8.5, if yours is tuned to 10, why does it have a boost cut at 14?
