  1. no worries mate, well besides knowing whether there is any spark retard occurring, it appears ok
  2. you need a dealer that will not actually start the car
  3. yes, it can still be done, we get it done frequently
  4. not if the owner had returned the car back to stock tune first
  5. well done for showing the results but unfortunately it's not quite as clear as you have shown. Why were the test done using different ramp rates? When testing product it is best to do several runs to get a baseline and use the average of the before against the average of the afters and immediately after the fitment. Was the car tuned in closed loop boost control? this is going to have an affect on the output as the ecu will be keeping the boost to a similar level, even if the cooler flowed better or worse. Was the spark and intake temps logged? This can give an indication on whether the cooler is actually working better at cooling rather than just air flow improvement Was knock retard logged? If the air flow and cooling has changed there may be more spark and causing the knock sensors top do their job and tell the ecu to remove spark. you at least know your car appears ok to use
  6. if the treadmill was outside in a very strong wind, well then yes there may be lift
  7. the ships speed adds to the air speed required to take off

GTX appears a better turbo from what I have seen
  9. are they guessing the duty cycle or measuring it, many people do not have the equipment to measure
  10. as mentioned previously, we have have seen it quite a few times, enough that it's one of the first things we now check when an owner says they have problems, most skip 1 tooth, many have jumped 2 and one we saw had jumped 3 and would cause the engine light to come on
  11. they will help to max a set up but does not help the turbo flow anymore, the turbo is maxed at around the 320 rwkw area, it just can not flow anymore. A larger turbo will flow more up top but you will loose some of the punch the small turbo has, the GTX 3576r will gain you a little more due to it's efficient design but many would not consider the cost for a small gain to be worth it
  12. bigger front sway bar will make the understeer worse
  13. if stock tune, you need to run only a factory rated actuator otherwise it will overboost and go into limp mode, even with a port job
  14. any power increase, including cams requires more air into and out of the engine, well nitrous is a bit of an exception but still needs to get rid of the waste gasses
  15. recalls are normally only done for safety related items
  16. as jet mentioned it is generaly accepted that the small turbo flows enough air for approx. 320 rwkw on 98, depending on dyno used, some will only do 315 and some have recorded 330, a GTX3576 will go to approx. 350 on 98, this info is from a supplier and I have not tuned a GTX3576 yet
  17. are you sure they said second hand or could they have meant reco'd? I would assume if they were not using a brand new engine they would use a remanufactured engine as they use Orger engine centre to do warranty repairs to engines, did you get this info straight from ford or from the dealership?
  18. this is normal and not a flat boost line
  19. normally lower in 4th due to windage loss, this is more evident on a lower power car, this may have been addressed on some dyno's but need to confirm it
  20. so it drops in the top end?
  21. so is it stable or does it drop off? you say it does both, I'm confused
