  1. the factory one does all of what you mentioned except for the change at the flick of a button
  2. I had one customer with a stock small turbo run 11.6 a few years ago with fairly mild mods and a tune that showed 302 on my dyno
  3. the NA has higher comp which is why the throttle is more responsive down low
  4. ^WHS I've had a few commodores with big cams that had been tuned elsewhere, well the owners thought they had big cams, we've managed in some cases to get the cars idling at possibly 250 rpm lower, still with a little lump that no tuning could get rid of, but with out the eye burning exhaust fumes and nicer manners
  5. why not put the money towards some mods which are going to be beneficial?
  6. Sorry mate, do not know anyone there, but try calling may get a quicker response
  7. unless the car is actually tuned at the possible boost levels, even lowering boost can cause engine damage
  8. you need to get the excess fuel out of the surge and back into the tank, you may have to modify the new fuel assembly to flow more fuel back into the tank
  9. sounds like the return side of the new assembly is not bleeding off enough fuel
  10. I think Capa can supply tunes for them still, but generic tunes are not a real good idea, no tuner with current software can communicate with the box at all
  11. refunds are done on a pro rata system, the longer it is lefty before asking for a refund will mean less back
  12. you must also get the car serviced according to their guidelines by them
  13. block up and cause the motor to run lean, the 1000 klms is only a guess no matter who gives it to you, we recommend the filter be changed at 1 k intervals for possibly 5000 klms, but that depends on how much crap is in your tank to start off with
  14. you will have no better control with that controller except you don't have to wait 4 minutes to reflash the BA. Spring pressure is the lowest boost you can run with any type of controller. If you are planning on running different boost levels, you need to make sure the tune is set at those levels, do not think because it does not ping at 15 psi that it will not ping with 12 psi unless it has been tuned at first 12 and then 15, there is no rpm wire, you also have to buy a tach adaptor.
  15. you are going to need a tune anyway so why not just have 2 tunes an a xcal? you will not be able to run less boost than the controler
  16. it will depend on what power and boost etc, but a gutted cat will work marginally better than a good high flow cat, but if you ever need a cat for some reason then you will need to get the car retuned
  17. have seem cases where injector change has helped, when was the last time plugs were changed? O2 sensor changed? what temp thermostat? what plug gap has your mechanic checked compressions Fuel trims etc etc
  18. nothing is untuneable, we have tuned cars with no cats before
  19. somebody probably was trying to stop an overboost and rather do it properly, they went the tight arse mod
  20. have you checked what your tuner is happy to work with?
  21. based on his previous comments I'm not sure, but everybody knows the SC 5.0 does it easy
