  1. sorry mate, not trying to knock your car at all so please don't take it that way, but it starts lean and doesn't make power until approx 120, almost looks like the operator had no idea and was just driving it before putting the foot down, so it does not show the low down power, they also have their own correction added to it rather than the SAE standard based on weather. It's good that you have had a go yourself and are wrapt with the results
  2. is the graph a true indication of the tune or is that the way the operator has done it?
  3. again, agree about the tuning but the real issues do not become evident until approx. <16-18 degrees. why are your temps different to the ambient?, they should be almost exactly the same for a cold start test but if those numbers are correct you are still around the flash point of the fuel anyway
  4. lol, That would solve it, I was thinking the same thing recently
  5. agree, but some talk like it should start like 98 on a very cold morning and fact is it will not. Another factor is how many days are owners prepared to leave their cars in a workshop for cold start testing? you get 1 chance at a cold start a day, maybe 2 if it's real cold and the first try did not run very long at all
  6. it controls the manifold runner flaps and a NA 6 cyl when it's not plugged into the cop chip
  7. tuning will not change the flash point of the fuel!
  8. it is not meant to be connected on your car if you have a turbo
  9. cold starts in Tassy are going to be worse than cold starts in Surfers with E85, so maybe you guys should be mentioning what starting temps you are talking about
  10. $150 would seem pretty cheap to strip everything down, fit it etc but I'm not a beater
  11. we were told it was always going to fluctuate as normal petrol does but should be approx. 25 cents cheaper
  12. can not be unlocked at all if still married to another car
  13. It needs to be powered up by either car or the supplied USB cable
  14. unless the xcal 1 has been unlocked by Capa, it can not be used at all except for the original car
  15. the wastegate may open at 24 psi, except hopefully the ecu will go into boost cut and this will happen every time it try's to make boost if you have the factory tune
  16. got a dyno sheet to show how it comes on?
  17. compression ratio is something that is built into the engine, tuning does not change that, Turbo motors require lower compression than non turbo motors to be able to handle boost
  18. there is normally multiple tune strategy's for what appear similar cars, it is wise to always build a tune on the correct strategy. Your plug gap is too small
  19. not really, the car would go into a limp mode or give some sort of warning
