  1. lower operating temp is not as efficient, helps with heatsoak issues but can hurt economy
  2. 20 psi we do our own port jobs and had no issues controlling it, even with the 4" exhaust etc
  3. sorry, have not done a Territory
  4. you can get 300 from a factory cooler, can it handle it? not really!
  5. You may be doing it already but keeping it under 3000 does not mean "babying it", very little throttle input is babying it. do you have genuine ID's ? Do you have a low temp thermostat?
  6. can't argue those numbers, any of them have a 98 tune at all?
  7. not disputing the 490 on 85 but where does that number come from? we did one a few weeks back on a manual only on 98 and seem to be around the 420 mark before running out of puff, the car had cams in it which should have helped the top end but that was it, on paper it is a 700hp turbo, which I would estimate to be between 409-420 rwkw.
  8. from what I have seen and their flow data, that is getting to the top of the capabilities of the 6235
  9. I agree with toads and I would rather some body tell me the truth rather than "she'll be right mate" type person
  10. as Raband said, performance mode can not be separated on shift pressures but manual mode can, but performance mode extends the rpm the shift occurs at and higher pressures can be commanded at higher rpm, we tuned rabands so low speed shifts are nicer without being hard but the shifts are firmer as rpm increases
  11. diffs done, tailshaft is done, suspension is done, service is done, turbo is done, injectors are done, fuel pump is done, cooler is done, air box is done, heat exchanger is done, trans has been serviced, valve springs are done, spark plugs are done, running on one of my tunes, just got to do exhaust, gauges and tune it
  12. no, have not done that
  13. Long motor, that's your problem then, get a standard size one
  14. Firm up a little
  15. Pretty sure most auto trans today are what is called adaptive learning, this means they are constantly adapting to how a car is bring driven, drive it easy and the shifts become soft/cushy drive it harder and they fi up a little
  16. there are other suppliers that had initial dramas with their E85 set up, most of them have been sorted but for some reason KPM were the only ones to cop flak about it, even 1 customer that bagged the product on forums but turned out had run out of fuel
  17. yep
  18. the trans is always learning around driving habits, the easiest way to get it back to where it was when tuned id to reflash the ZF tune back into it
  19. sounds like you have found the issue
  20. Any changes to the car pretty much need a tune
  21. Not trying to indicate any such thing, just trying to clear up any possible miss understanding as many believe stoich is the leanest because that's what cars run at, and fact is I have no idea about what you do, have done or your actual knowledge level but not trying to be condescending at all
  22. you need to adjust the tune to suit the exhaust and don't waste your time with that cooler
  23. Most people will recommend their own tuner so be wary about what you get told, do a search on the forum and you'll see which ones pop up quite often on which ones have their customers asking for help questions after their cars are tuned, Jim from TuneHouse is very fussy on what he does but is dearer than some of the others that do not appear to spend much time on cars
  24. a new tuner will have to give you a new engine tune also
  25. if you can't afford to have the car off the road for a day or 2 how are you going to manage if the engine grenades? What does your mate with the software say? if you are going to trust him to alter the tune then trust what he says is wrong with it as your engine is in his hands
