  1. I didn't say you said to do it, but we all know it happens which is why I take precautions in my tunes I just wanted to know what an owner is going to think in the scenario I suggested
  2. what happens then as turbotrana suggests, you pay for a tuner to do the tune, you take the car home so you can then copy the tune with your own version of HP and find they have locked it? what are you going to do?
  3. why bother with the lock?? the company that gives you the ability to copy someone else's tune gives the cheater the ability to then lock it so nobody can copy it, why?
  4. do not assume if your car is tuned for a certain boost level it will be ok at a lower boost level unless your tuner has actually also tuned it at that level
  5. Thanks tobylee I realise it was probably just a generalisation bandblightfoot, but just felt the need to correct it, there are plenty of companies that do the right thing and there are companies that intend to do the right thing but have staff that do not care, it's sad but it's true
  6. This is not true, there are still many business that take pride in what they do, it's just that there's a lot that quote cheap to get a job and then have to cut corners although ther are still some that know how to charge and still do things wrong, normally it's business that don't rely on repeat work that are the worse culprits
  7. will be posting as soon as I know, for those saying it's dependent on price, this will be the cheapest you will get a new P/west cooler for
  8. pretty sure I would have posted them if there were ;)
  9. no, a US will not work on our cars
  10. we had a customer do it and we had to help get it sorted, his biggest mistake was getting auto from 1 car and ecu from another, he ended up needing to replace complete wiring loom to BF spec which meant extra knock sensor, ecu ABS unit, tune dash unit, oil pressure sender, diff etc
  11. yes it's been done and the best advice is to get everything from the same car, seriously though, it's easier to trade and buy a ZF
  12. Don has 15 more rwkw than another G6ET we did a few years ago that ran 11.6 on street tyres, maybe he just needs some more practice maybe it was the open face helmet??, so old school
  13. think you might be a liitle surprised if you actually measured what is going on, unless the voltage has been increased to the pump
  14. bolic: seems to be working fine or is working fine? 360 has the v8 pump close to running out of fuel on the GS/GT and that's on 98
  15. the supplied reg is not for higher pressure, it is to control pressure where the factory one can't
  16. the guy from shockworx was a suspension tuner for Ford Tickford/FPV, he knows what works and what settings are good, he is a suspension tuner now selling product that does what it's supposed to do versus suspension suppliers. He can tell you how low you can go without compromising the operation of the suspension operation and it's not as low as most people think
  17. it uses mainly the throttle but will use spark as well if needed
  18. your birthday the 18th October? mines the 19th
  19. not saying it's your problem but o2's can fail in any car, and they can just wear out with usage, they have a certain life but can fail with contaminates/damage
  20. Kits only, but maybe you two could work together so you both get what you need
