stage 3 has different pipes we have just finished a group buy on P/west coolers, the stage 3 had a saving of approx. $300 when you consider the freight and it also includes the throttle body elbow. Although the group buy is over, the link is still up and will be taken down tomorrow and the final order placed.

is it closed loop boost control? is it gear related at all?

so is it actually road speed based? or engine speed based but you have converted that to road speed?

just wanted to know if there were any benefits through boost control with this set up that is not available with the factory controller, I know the eboost 2 is supposed to be able to control different boost based on what gear you are in but in practice I have not heard of anyone actually using this or even getting it to work on our cars, I know eboost also allows adjustment on the fly but do not think this is wise unless the tuner has actually populated all spark load sites with correct numbers.

I was more interested in the boost control side of things as I see people often that want to go aftermarket controllers and there is very little I can see that they do extra when compared to the factory controller, I understand if the boost level vs gear worked but I have not spoken to someone that has that feature working. We've done progressive boost vs engine rpm on several cars in the past, it makes them very tractable, but many people just want the boost to hit hard, no matter how much it slows them down

a pump like that will normally exceed what the pressure reg can control so you end up with higher fuel pressure at low engine speeds, the tuner can tune around this but the fuel trims will also correct it to a certain point, but I believe in having the correct pressure and try to have very little correction

lol at the exhaust shop, but reality is it's no different to a customer saying the same thing, some shops do talk to each other and some customers are known by others for their behaviour

I spoke to Kev a little while back, he was keen but we were letting this one finish and coolers delivered before worrying about the be series one, he has had some complaints about the low prices that have been offered on this buy so not sure whether that may influence any decision.

diesel oils these days have to not cause issues to diesel particulate filters and because of this their oil has changed and in some cases is the same as petrol engine oils, the above comments were not meant to imply you could put old style diesel engine oils in a petrol car.

John, many think you just need to power to run good numbers and they don't worry about the setup. I have my own ideas about set up from going back years ago and it contradicts what most try to do, without knowing what your set up is it appears to respond how I think it should, happy to see others may think similar to what I do

Judging by the vids, I think how it gets off the line goes against what others are trying to do but the results speak for themselves
