  1. ID's are $130 each from the Australian distributor
  2. still need to rebuild the pressure plate and resurface flywheel, pressure plate and intermediate plates as well
  3. we can organise for it to be reco'd but the cost runs out similar to a replacement clutch if my memory serves me right
  4. Don't get me wrong, my comment was not a dig at you at the slightest, I was trying to use it as an example. If a customer came to us for a package to make XXX rwkw and we did all the work and it did not perform, I would feel it was on us to find out why and then take it from there. If there was a mechanical issue with the car, well that becomes the customers problem, but if there was something with the parts we supplied and fitted it becomes our problem with no added cost to the customer. When a customer comes in with a package they have done themselves and all we had to do was tune it, well if it does not perform it can start to get costly trying to find out where the issue lays.
  5. yes it may be the tune, but my comment was to warn the op to expect more cost than just the tuning cost if there is a mechanical issue. This is a perfect example of why letting one shop do it all can sometimes be better value, as it becomes their responsibility to get what has been promised
  6. another tuner will start from scratch, their tuning cost will not normally include problem solving mechanical issues
  7. you need a shop that can and will datalog as much as possible, check what is being commanded versus what is being delivered, this can take quite a bit of time, a lot different to just getting a power run
  8. with just a simple dyno run, you will be lucky just to get a boost and afr read out which is not going to tell you much about the state of the tune, data logging will help but may not tell the full story
  9. there is a big difference between a dyno run and diagnosing something
  10. bomber, post those pics I sent you if you want. 20pounds, apparently ford are not to interested in them according to a guy at my local dealer
  11. no other coils last as long as the genuine when the boost is increased
  12. what spring do you have fitted and what boost are you aiming for? tuned with SCT or HP?
  13. cams should be held locked (not by the chain) when undoing and retensioning the phaser bolts to stop any possible damage
  14. the Nissan ecu is quite primitive compared to these late model ecu's trying to compare to one is pointless, yes you can fit another board to one and live tune which you cant to the ford as it is sealed but even the format it is written in is very primitive compared to a late model ecu. We need someone like Moates to do a Roadrunner ecu like they do for GM
  15. some tuners disable the check engine al together, so codes may appear but the light does not come on except for at start up
  16. we have a special on diff bushes at the moment and done quite a few sets of the superpro comforts and have not had any complaints about knocks or nvh so far
  17. just pitted in a smaller area
  18. 2010 and issues is more localised.
  19. have another car in the shop today with pitting on the lobes, FG F6
  20. outright power does not have a bearing on the turbo port and believe it or not the port job is more important at lower boost levels than higher boost levels
  21. when I got hp tuners I was told some BA's needed an aftermarket boost controller which did not make sense to me as the factory item normally works well
