    Edit Problems

How can the tuner be a tuner, without the tuning software ?
  3. you need to return the original car back to the factory tune and then a capa dealer will be able to unlock the box so you can use it on your next car, it will then be vin locked to your new car
  4. Not so much of a "new mover on the block" - that car's been around for a while and yes, it has the best MPH. ← I beleive it is also the quickest GT
  5. That's my favorite from that show, I laughed for so long
  6. Went from 3.45 to 4.1 in my pursuit and I think it is an excelent move, the car actually drives a lot nicer with the 4.1's and only picked up an extra 250 rpm at 100 kmh (approx)
  7. wipe them with silicon spray, (not silicon grease) should shut them up for a little while
  8. Sounds like all is going well, Hopefully you get to drive it soon
  9. I've heard the trans tunnel is different on the BF's to accomodate the 6 speed, but I can't imagine a new floor being remade on really just a model upgrade which is what the BF was. Good luck and keep us informed
  10. Saw Brians car in action on saturday, very impressive
  11. I know a guy that fitted a tray back to his XR8 ute. when he went to VIC Roads, they made him weigh it and it was 130 kg lighter than it was with the ute body, but it was weighed on truck public weigh scales which are accurate within 20 kg so it may actually be anywhere between 110 -150 kg
  12. SCT vin lock all their boxes, capa do not do it The live wire has only just been released at SEMA in the states, and most of the SCT dealers are complaining because SCT has not given any of the dealers any information regarding the unit, although 1 magazine ran an add for it last month and Jegs has them for sale on their website. You do not even need a flash box to use the data logger
  13. Well done Chris It's a credit to bluepower to be leading the Boss field It's great to see your car attacking the track and breaking all sorts records while doing it, You prove your tuning abilities constantly on the track rather than relying on dyno figures. Is there a Boss record that you havn't tuned the car? Keep up the good work
  14. are you pushing it further, or is that someone else ? ← NO mine is street duties at the momment unless I change oil pump gears, but there is a couple of hotted up Boss's that will hit the tracks soon, I'm sure they should be able to go quicker than my N/A record, but can't take my unopened record
  15. Thanks for the welcome It's my ute in the pics and the specs are a couple of post up ← very well done, have you run it full weight, and exhaust on, because it would be still very quick, would have to go close to a 11 still wouldn't it. well done again, Criss can get the power out of these things, have you had any oil pump isues? David ← The best it ran full weight (1820kg)and with exhaust was 12.23, but that was before the latest tune. We did not take much weight out of it possibly 100-120 kg so maybe an 11 may have been possible. Have not had any oil pump issues at this stage, but they are in the back of my mind which is why the car has not been raced again. According to the unofficial rules, replacing oil pump gears makes the motor opened, although they themselves do not make a performance gain, it gives you the ability to rev the motor harder which gives it more performance, but also how do you police if camshaft timing is altered at the same time. Chris did a great job of getting the power out of it, but He had the easy part just using his keyboard, while I had to do all the physical work with all the mechanical things . Just joking Chris had definitly done his part well
  16. Thanks for the welcome It's my ute in the pics and the specs are a couple of post up
  17. My car still holds the N/A and Unopened records, but I'm sure the N/a Record is about to be broken
  18. The car is bolt ons only and edited It has extractors, high flow cats and custom exhaust It uses 25% under drive pullies, 80 mm throttle body, blue power cold air intake and was tuned by Blue power racing developments, It was using a 3500 hi stall and 4.1 diff gears. That 11 second run, it had no exhaust on it It's also a pursuit not a XR8 and it's also the Boss that knocked Geea out of the DYO racing at the LS1 nationals
