  1. I think it is about 11.8, Boss XR8 ute
  2. Is that why his name is headsex ?? :rokon:
  3. I guess the old saying is true, It's not what you know, It's who you know
  4. 58 grand will only get you a basic Mainline or DD, to get a decent set up, you will need to spend close to 80 or more, better do a few more tunes next week
  5. also a good idea to use genuine parts when servicing, that way ford have 1 less way of trying to get out of the warranty
  6. NO worries mate. I've been watching your plight and thought HPF would have had it sorted rather quickly, But it's good to see Headsex has got on top of it rather quickly as he has had quite a bit of experience with the turbos. The issues you had can come about fairly easily, which is why I was hestitant to play with your car until I had more turbo experience, I did not want to leave somebody in the same situation as you got into.

I have seen 2 U codes come relating to engine RPM and Vehicle speed being out of range and figure that these codes, if not cleared ,may be a give away to a dealer that the car has been flashed
  8. It is a kit developed by Blue power and based around a Kenne Bell supercharger
  9. Excelent time does this make it the quickest 4 speed ford?

Not sure about P codes being cleared as my car is not logging any, but reflashing does not clear U codes when reflashed
  11. as I mentioned, has cat protection been turned off in the software, ask your tuner. The ford ecu will dump fuel into the motor to cool exhaust temps if they get to hot to protect the cats (very common on late model cars) some tuners turn this off or raise it high enough for it not to operate, this may be a possibility
  12. Has cat protection been turned off in the programme ?
  13. Scanners like those normally only read some P codes, not the complete list of codes our cars can produce
  14. Yes otherwise you will be hitting the rev limiter before the auto changes when at full throttle
  15. His tuner should be able to supply the same tune, but with the new injector slopes programmed into it.

    Sports!

Used to play tournament paintball, and recently taken up tenpin bowling
  17. You could not drive it until the injector slopes and breakpoint have been adjusted in the tune.
  18. The codes it will read will only be some P (powertrain) codes, it will not read any of the other codes that would show up with a proper scan tool, and it is some of these codes which may alert a dealer that things have been played with
  19. tie it down tighter, put some weight in the boot or just use a faster ramp rate
  20. Your will have to be returned to the factory tune and then the box will have to be unlocked by a tuner
  21. Congrats Chris on lowering the Boss record yet again
  22. That site should have some of warning
  23. Those road side testers are only an indicator and not 100% accurate. Your cars speedo can be within 10% of actual speed to be normal and acceptable. A dyno can give you an exact speedo reading Vs actual speed
  24. Get a mechanic to scan the computer to see what has caused the light to come. The emission standards of some of these late model cars are very complex and even something like not putting a fuel cap back on can cause a problem with the evaporative system emissions and trigger the MIL to come on if it completes a full diagnostic trip. The light coming on on your car may have nothing to do with the tune, it may be sensor related, you will not know until you get it checked
