  1. some of the table in the software interact with other tables, so several tables can be adjusted to give a final result, unless all these table are visible then a wrong impression can be given, but saying that, there are some people I think that do not dedicate the time required so some may be quite poor.
  2. if cat control is in operation, it is very very rich when activated, but will not normally be activated under normal driving conditions
  3. using HP may give an opinion on a tune that is not correct and done deliberately.
  4. have not done a 76 but the 82 needs a new bracket and have not had one supplied that I would use with out fixing it
  5. would be using a stronger actuator
  6. a new inlet hose a new outlet hose front cover drilled and tapped for a boost reference line a rear housing with port job an actuator an actuator bracket
  7. we've done quite a few liquid injected LPG powered XR6T's, good power and cheaper to run, after the initial install cost has been recouped
  8. all cool mate. there was some rubbish going on about the same subject but not on this page. Preventative? Not sure Atomic do a hardened lower gear and modified tensioner, does it prevent it? I have no idea
  9. Barnz I'm getting this stuff multiple times a day, starting to think it's time to get off the net I do not ask an electricians point of view and then start to question it or argue it, but this is what happens to me day in day out. I was not being cryptic but the way I read your post was abusive, whether or not it was meant to be I don't know, I apologize if it was meant to be taken that way, but fact is I'm human and have good days and bad days, todays not a good day
  10. cryptic attitude? I've clearly stated what I believed many times over and people want to argue with me. I did not design this engine, I'm the guy that is diagnosing fixing when others have failed. Our shop has done over 20 cars now that have jumped teeth, as I said the early ones had broken guides so I assumed the guide piece caused it to jump. We have now seen many that have jumped teeth and the guide is ok so I re-assed my thoughts, and believe it is from hard acceleration in lower the lower gears followed by shutting the throttle hard. I have a car in the shop at the moment that bent all the exhaust valves, when I quizzed the owner about the scenario, it was exactly what he had done. I stated that the pic does not show things good enough to see if the timing is correct, I'm also not going to tell somebody how to fix their car unless I know 100% what is wrong, if they go and do what I say and it was not right rectification then it does not look good. Not all of us have money to throw at people to fix it?? I've got a business to run, I earn my money from actually working on cars, not a consulting business, I try to help where I can, I don't have people throwing money at me for the help I give do I? If somebody else has an opinion on what causes it, feel free to speak up, that is all.
  11. any one else want to make a suggestion then?
  12. your pics were not clear enough to know that the timing was correct, but we have seen many cars now with incorrect valve timing, the first couple had broken guides so I assumed it was the broken piece of guide that caused it to jump, we have now seen more cars that the guide has remained intact and the timing was incorrect
  13. I have said it many times but I do not believe the guide breaking is the cause of teeth jumping, the chain jumping is the cause of broken guides
  14. the replacement housings that are now not available had a larger wastegate port but every factory one we have pulled apart has the same size as B series
  15. FG's do not have a larger flapper
  16. get a stock map and start from that, rather than finding any other nasty surprises
  17. LPG motor will have higher compression if you were thinking about not changing pistons
  18. edit: should possibly not give too much away
  19. Rab, if you want to race the car and you are getting traction, there is the option of having another tune that brings the boost in harder rather than the flat boost line you have now
  20. Power, reliability, cheap, pick any 2 but you can not have all 3 together
  21. Bels g6et would have 16 psi at 0 duty cycle and 18 when we tested a turbo side intake, port job and now we can control down to around 10 psi.
  22. torque convertor not sitting in correctly, trying to force normally ends up with damaged oil pump gear
