1. Dont you guys measure the power as sheep power rather than horsepower or the metric equivalent Killer wasps, could explaing the high figure :tonguepoke
2. Valve springs ??
3. I think it is the same exhaust as you allready have
4. sort of similar subject came up a while ago about cops and insurance companies being able to see what was happening just before an accident, sort of black box thingy. Now 1 of my customers works for Bosch in the technical side of things and as Bosch are heavily involved in a lot of the electronic systems in these cars I thought I would ask him. His response was no they can't do it. the ecu can be logged in real time, but does not store info that can be read later on.
5. Congrats Mick I get nervous during ebay auctions, so I don't think I could sit through an auction that big
6. 2003 t
7. Should have also mentioned, new plugs gapped to .8mm
8. well it's my wifes car anyway, 303.7 rwkw and on 95 octane fuel mods so far are typhoon snorkel K&N air filter Nizpro valve springs Siemens 60 lb injectors 12 lb actuator 15 lb tune eveything else is stock at this stage, but a cooler is next on the list as intake temps rise pretty quickly and it drops power (due to spark retard) on the 2nd run
9. The ECU switches to the base fuel table (normal operating table) @ 120 f although standard it adds timing up to 180f
10. The ecu will start to pull timing based on several temp related paremeters, fitting a lower temp thermostat, will keep the temps lower so the ecu will give a more consistant timing setting, basically it does not give more power, it keeps the power consistant
11. Congrats and well done It's good to see another quick Boss
12. Ford updated processor code A3HD can play havoc with torque control when editing a car and it can cause the throttle to close abruptly which would give the dips like your car is showing on a dyno run, although it can be got around, it may be easier to use an earlier processor code
13. You also need a dyno with a emission drive cycle simulator to do the correct driving loads and speeds, my mainline has such a drive cycle. I have friends who do gas tuning for their kits they market on their mainline dyno and use a 5 gas analyser, they them take the car to sydney to the emission labs and normally pass right away or just a small tweak of the tune to get it emission passed. But the dyno is only a simulator and not the exact thing, but it's close enough for them to get things 99% right
14. Has the Kit made much difference?
15. I heard from someone who does work for the team, that it is actually the same car that was raced as a GT, but due to rule changes adding more weight to the car and a few engine limiting rules, it was decided to campaigne it as a typhoon and escape some of the disadvantages forced upong them by the rulemakers. It damaged it's good motor on thursday due to oil surge problems s it was ran on it's back up motor
16. Sounds like you need to find a tuner that can also diagnose. have you replaced injectors? Usual pinging???? should car should not ping ---- pinging will kill your motor
17.
Sorry Going to look at buying a Harley soft tail.
ahh...........Harley Davison...... yesterdays technology at tomorrows prices sorry mate, I heard this the other week and just had to use it some where :)

19. if any SE Melb members can't be bothered going north, I can help out
20. I'm in frankston and could do one for $60
21. Most the big sports bikes are capable of running low to mid tens with the right rider on them without any traction problems, any ten second street car would be spinning wheels on the street trying to keep up with them
22. Thanks for that That's what I thought but still thought I'd ask
23. Excelent looking setup who did the manifold?
24. Hey XR_Brute Is there any difference between the Typhoon snorkel and the XR8 snorkel (BAF9C676B)? thanks
