  1. That's cool maybe I should have put one of these in there
  2. YPURV4 has not shown any disrespect towards me regarding doing some research about different motors. I was the one who actualy told him to do his research to find the best package. He had a builder and package in mind, but I think I may have opened his eyes to a pretty good product that is allready out there at a fair price and with a warranty that can not be beaten. The more research he does, I'm sure he will come up with the same conclusions, that the Nizpro package is a great engine. It will handle a lot more power than most of us want and still be quiet in operation at the same time, which may not seem like a big deal to most people, but when a motor has noisey operation, it will trigger false signals to the knock sensors which will start to pull timing from the tune. He will be happy with it no matter where he chooses to get it fitted Hey Paul, good catching up to you over the weekend and thanks for the kind words
  3. check the for sale section
  4. if that's the case, the box will be useless to the next owner
  5. Well done on the figures how much boost did it take to get those figures?
  6. If tyre tyre sizing is done correctly, the rolling diameter should remain the same as a smaller tyre so there would be no affect on gearing, but the added weight of the bigger wheels will affect how quick the motor will rev up. Tyre brand will affect grip even if the motor is reving slower (due to the extra weight) so you will still possibly get wheel spin even with the lower performance with cheap tyres.
  7. you could buy a ford flash 2 tuner, get some tunes to go with it and have full access to every data logging info that the tuners have.
  8. live wire have been taken off the market at present due to software issues with our cars and will be available again in approx 1 month when SCT rectifies the problem
  9. any exhaust shop should be able to sell you an O2 sensor bung for you to weld on, will even do it for you
  10. Shoot 6 is a standard used only on dyno dynamic dynos and it used for NA 6's , shoot F6 should be used for forced induction 6's, Shoot 8 is for na 8's etc etc
  11. thry are meant to be pushed all the way back in, you will not break them, what pads did you use
  12. I assum e you pushed the caliper pistons all the way back in rather than just force the calipers on. What sort of pads did you fit? some are noisey
  13. the car should not ping with the standard tune in place on 95 octane, you need the ford dealer to fix this problem before venturing any further with tuning, as you may have a mechanical problem which tuning may not get around.
  14. In the software, if you tell the ecu there is more Torque occuring it will increase line pressure
  15. No it doesn't! the F light will allways come on when the flasher is first plugged in, no matter what tune is loaded in the ecu
  16. Capa is controlled by SCT and so is dream science, they are both basically agents for SCT SCT spends lots of time developing their software and hardware systems, so obviuosly they will want to protect their investment and gaurantee an income, which is why they have set it up as they have
  17. you need to plumb the gauge into the inlet manifold if you want to see what boost the engine is running. A car making 6 psi at the motor may actually be making more than 10 at the turbo, the motor will not see this due to pressure drop through coolers and tight pipes etc
  18. most the cheaper scan tools will only read OBD2 generic powertrain codes, which means there are literally hundreds of trouble codes you will not be able to read Scan tools that are dedicated workshop equipment can read the other codes, but will cost upwards of $7000 and require regular updates to keep up with manufacturer model changes
  19. With the air intake probe placed in the correct position, you will find that you probably will have maybe 200 ish rwkw
  20. No you will need the powered serial cable and also a licensed dongle for the software to work
  21. Have you plugged the throttle body plug back in? Double check everything you touched while swapping them over, if all is ok, the tune may be dodgy
  22. Yes The tool has to be fitted and valve springs then wound down to compress them (obviuosly), the exhaust springs could be replaced with the unit still attached, but the inlet side would not come out unless the tool was removed and then it had to be refitted again to compress the new spings, also a bit fiddly trying to fit the collets back in as most the valve area is covered, only a small window area to work in. Not knocking the tool at all as it does the job, but just mentioning that it is not as easy and quick as they make it sound
  23. Although a good tool, the atomic tool is not as easy to use as they suggest
