  1. seen turbo's fail in the bearings due to lack of oil changes, continuing to drive them can cause wear in other components that are not necessarily damaged at the first indication of something being wrong. The price quoted is quite good.

    Overboost

    yes you do.
  3. as above + The 4v was considered the performance motor as they had larger valves and ports, but in modern thinking where people understand bigger is not always better, they are not really ideal.,They are better for high rpm racing, but for street useage the small port head is actually better because it keeps the air speed up which promotes better lower rpm power and economy.
  4. A customer just recently sold a concours XB Sedan for $64k, it was worth roughly $80K a little while earlier, the market has dropped a little but the car would still be worth quite a few bucks in any condition. XB's were not very desirable at 1 stage as some of them only had 2v motors, is this one 4v or 2v?
  5. great that is was simple, but if it is not the correct hose it may do it again, but the major problem may be that it may cause a lean out before it actually comes completely off again. Check that the correct hose was fitted. cheers
  6. There can be a hundred things that can cause your problem but as the fuel system was altered recently look there first. Although you can hear your pump running, check for fuel flow, We have seen situations where pumps have been replaced and normal fuel hose has been fitted rather than submersible hose. If the incorrect hose is fitted, it is possible that it may swell and come off or split.
  7. Normally flow matching is done by a high volume supplier, as mentioned they need a lot of stock to be able to go through the injectors and group them acording to flow specs. The matched sets are then on sold to resellers
  8. Not sure about other brands but on a mainline dyno you can do a speedo accuracy report and get a printout showing speedo reading and the actual speed it is doing
  9. you also need to purchase the actuator arm, as there actuators are just the diaphram section.
  10. A standard actuator will not normally make 17 psi in the top end as per the other reports on your car, normally we see standard ones fall over to between 8-10 psi at higher revs
  11. Although agreeing about the ball park rwkw figure, have you adjusted your calculations based on the turbos higher fuel pressure ? Just a quote from another forum partially explaining the standard useage
  12. JTG is the best system on the market, it is the only form of LPG conversion which will give you more power.
  13. so each cylinder receives exactly the same amount of fuel or at least a difference equalling that of the injector difference
  14. I use a Mainline and it has this feature, actually it is a feature we use quite often when customers feel the goverment has taken them for a ride re speeding offences, most are actually surprsed to see the speedo reads higher than they are traveling, which then blows their excuse. Not sure if DD's do it though
  15. depending on what dyno your tuner has, you may be able to get a speedo accuracy test and even an oddometer test done with a printout
  16. No
  17. All cars built after 1/01/04 if being converted to run on LPG must use an emission tested and approved kit normally mixer ring systems do not meet this crteria. Modifying an standard egas system would also deem it as non emission complient unless you had it tested at the emission labs, but then again most the mods we do are illegal.
  18. Spoke to VCM a few months back, at that time they were still lacking processor codes etc but were working on it all the time.
  19. yes that is true.
  20. As mentioned, the side walls are compromised by the grinding, any side wall damage is unroadworthy. Some guys that do them only grind away the writing others actually grind q deep groove into the tyre.
  21. Although I don't have the specs in front of me, Bosch injectors are built to tight tolerances regarding flow rates. Flow matching involves getting a heap of injectors, testing their flow rates on a test bench, and then grouping them together in sets of similar flow rates. To flow match 1 set would involve drilling the smaller flow injectors to match the largest injector.
  22. The software no matter which brand is only a tool used to access and alter the ford data. 1 brand can not give better results than the others if all required tune parameters are accessible. Results are directly related to the tuner and the car set up.
  23. it has always been illegal in Vic it's just people are now either enforcing it or finding out about it. It is considered as sidewall damage.
  24. Seeing Chris hasn't mentioned it, His surge tank bolts up to bolt holes allready in place, so no drilling required, the standard ford hoses connect directly to his tank, so no cutting and modifying hoses which could lead to fuel leaks and it can be returned to standard at any time with no change to the orignal layout.
