  1. they also require correct oil flow, many of the air to oil coolers are too small and restrict flow
  2. He was talking about the car being sluggish, if cam timing is adjusted there can be more power for the same amount of throttle opening so the car can feel more responsive
  3. any radiator, cooler etc is technically called a heat exchanger
  4. run the one you have, it's the best option
  5. PWR do a replacement ZF heat exchanger kit which is still oil to water, they also do oil to air coolers which can be used
  6. so torque has nothing to do with throttle response?
  7. as mentioned, oil to air will never milkshake, it can't but another thing to remember is almost every automatic car ever made uses a water to oil cooler, it seems to be mainly late model fords that have the issues, although I did one years ago on an Golf
  8. for it to weld itself it needs heat, heat from slipping

both are related, you need wheelspeed
  10. have no idea about what brand of clutch you have but many suppliers are rating clutches by power, this is a theoretical number but would be based on clamping pressure, not a number that means it is indestructible below that power level, anything can be broken if you try hard enough
  11. they have plenty of happy customers but as usual the squeaky wheel makes the most noise so we hear more about cars with issues
  12. we have ported GTX's that can control boost below 16 psi, even when using 4" exhausts and free flowing intakes, I think you just need to find another shop that can port it better
  13. depending on exchanger price but we could have done that for possibly less than $800 assuming the oil leak was from the wiring sleeve
  14. bring everything down that you have and we'll have a look, if there's going to be any messing around we stick to original plan
  15. also, if it happens to go missing, please do not look under Bels bonnet
  16. bring it down with you with the actuator bracket etc, we'll dummy fit it to a housing and see if it works, you'll also need a 4" to 4" hose, not a 4 to 3
  17. Monday night, should not be an issue assuming things go right, but don't want to be responsible for you missing a deadline and the dyno is already booked for Tuesday. I have not had 1 turbo supplied to us by the customer that fitted straight on, there is always something that holds us up, whether it's the actuator bracket or intake pipe etc, I would rather get it on now while you are down though
  18. give you a call??? I spoke to you just the other day, that's about all I can handle in 1 week I was not at work today or tomorrow, The tune will need to be changed when it is fitted so we can not do a before and after comparison as the boost will remain constant, we need to change it to suit the new required boost level. Can we some how get more time with the car than what we have originally allowed?
  19. according to my local dealer, there are 4 different heat exchangers and vary in price from just under $200 to high $200
