  1. Your Welcome single retarder? do you mean sensor? single retard mainline will hold your power
  2. ratter

    Gtx3576R.

    Boost does not damage engines
  3. Martin Donnan may have multiple sensors on his Dyno and would be a good independednt 3rd party I would think, another option is Brett West at APE, Mainline use to state that he would put the dyno through it's paces more so than any other user Yep cause Rab lives here
  4. everybody thinks their tune is safe, most have got no idea to be honest, afr's do nor make it safe
  5. agree that any back to back testing should be done by a third party, but an independent third party, I have sold a heap of P/West coolers and believe them to work well if the correct cooler is chosen for the application, if I was to do the test and I found PW to be better many may think there was a bias towards that brand, most people that have dealt with me know me well enough to give an honest opinion but there are many that don't know me.
  6. this is stuff we deal with on a daily basis, read what I posted correctly
  7. I see your point, but fact is we all look at a product/service and think I could do that cheaper, if that's the case why don't people do it? Air boxes are a classic example, everybody says they can do them cheaper some start to do them and then see all the small bits that are required that start to add up and give it a miss
  8. it just seems like every year more newbies come along and try to reinvent the wheel, same stuff over and over. I think Metricon ripped me off when they built my house, how hard is it to nail some bits of wood together and stick some bricks on top of each other
  9. it will be good to see temp before cooler, pressure before cooler, temp after the cooler and pressure after the cooler for the same given time
  10. I'm surprised any company actually wants to make performance parts anymore, so much negativity cast by so many.
  11. using compressed air on some filters is not a great idea
  12. don't know what you are saying but it appears you are agreeing with me?
  13. a bad or abusive driver can kill any clutch, but reading many forums and pages, torque is commonly misunderstood
  14. don't think I've done 1000hp one on a FG, but I only try to compare the coolers when the same boost has been used
  15. that would depend on how much knock retard was allowed in the tune
  16. PW stage 2 will work better than the stage 1 and I have dyno sheets showing the Plaz 800hp cooler Vs PW stage 1 IAT's with almost identical results on a FG
  17. here's some data on a stock FG pump flow figures. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81721-fg-fuel-pump-testing/ This info is not available at many places as most operators do not have this equipment, we can run any rwd car on our dyno and measure what is actually occurring in the fuel system, but obviously does not factor in fuel moving away from the swirl pot/pump under acceleration/cornering etc. Something else to remember, is the surge tank it self does not flow more fuel, that's the job of the fuel pump no matter where it's located, many seem to be confused on this matter
  18. Process West, Plaz and Nizpro all supply good coolers, but PW stepped cooler is more suited to those that don't to affect the structure of the car, PWR also do a stepped cooler which works reasonable
  19. every time you make boost you generate heat, so a cooler is not just for doing back to back dyno runs or drag racing, it is needed all the time unless you drive off boost. We recently had a car that would not go over 275 rwkw, give it more spark and it would rattle, owner fitted a cooler and came back and with the same tune went 290's (I think) and then some tweaking we got it into the 300's
  20. I went the PWR ZF heat exchanger on Bels car, but we don't do track work with it, but I have a customer that does track work and has no issues with the PWR on his car
