  1. yes mate as well as economy although many say that is not a concern, but why not improve it if you can
  2. most people trying to sell you a product will try to tell you it is the best, injector dynamics and KPM are Bosch injectors which have been modified and matched both flow and electrically, both supply tuning data to get the tuner started with correct numbers, some of this data is not able to be reproduced accurately in a workshop environment, so the use of either of these brands can result in a better operating injector and car. Yes without tuning data the same power can be made but the manners may not be the same. Somebody the other week said about a third supplier that offered tuning data but no names were supplied. At the end of the day, some tuners like to use a particular injector so you are best talking to the guy that is going to tune it and get his take on it.
  3. of course there are variables with both methods, the only accurate or closest I can think of is an engine dyno but then many variables need to be kept constant
  4. bullsh*t
  5. it's not as accurate as most will have you believe
  6. Thanks and you're welcome
  7. ecu needs to be adjusted so it will take some form of software to access it to change it, only takes 15 minutes or so once the car is on the dyno
  8. can be corrected in tune
  9. higher output alternator I think as well
  10. take the car back, tuning should not have been done while there was a problem
  11. if it has a stock actuator it most likely will not hold 18psi, if it has a stronger actuator and not ported I would not expect the boost to be so low through the midrange, if you port the turbo or change the actuator after you tune it, you will need to tune it again
  12. it may but not necessarily, it may have the factory actuator in place
  13. but fuel trims will correct being rich at idle unless maxed out and gone open loop
  14. so why are you asking then
  15. what injector do you recommend and why? None of the common injectors used have a perfect spray pattern for our heads, not even a 6 orifice injector.
  16. All injectors are normally tested for calibration on Nheptane, do yes all numbers do vary with petrol and different again in e85. What is the third company supplying tuning data?
  17. you would have to ask KPM that, but Dave has full time engineer on staff that does all his fluid analysis work
  18. At this time no other supplier/manufacturer of injectors can be bothered to supply data to suit the software that is used in our vehicles, if you are aware of any other I'm sure you would post it
  19. We look after customers when they have a history with us and show loyalty, if doing a complete package we may be offer a better price. When we tune, the car is on the dyno for close to the most of the day and then driven on the road data logging to get the best outcome, it is not in the shop for half an hour or even 2 hours like many people have experienced judging by many many threads I have seen.
  20. this story does not add up
  21. KPM 1000 supplied and fitted are $765
  22. ratter

    Gtx3576R.

and yet ceramic are considered more durable in other applications ??
  23. We can not adjust your existing tune using SCT, we have to start from scratch but to be honest even if we could, we would not be trying to fix somebody else's mistakes, easier to start from scratch
  24. as well as Deka's etc
