I was at dlm last week and saw the precision with ext gate set up,it's a very cool set up that will perform very well! The best thing about the kit is the ability to run higher boost down the track if someone was to build they're engine as the perform better the more boost you put in them!! And who doesn't love an external gate set up!! Cheers lee

Well done dale for backing up what you thought was the case! Me personally will be running the usual 43psi pressure on my e85 tune with bigger injectors!so there is plenty of headroom.

Good stuff al, you have the turbo to produce the numbers,but you definatly need a quality balancer these engines don't have the best harmonics!!

just an update!! have just finished pulling the engine apart today,and the damage found was piston no 3 had a piece melted off and one valve had a bit missing but other than that I was shocked of the state the rest of the engine was in..it was in perfect condition! All the bearings hardly had a mark on them,tops of the pistons were brand new(apart from one fatality!)and considering the punishment this engine has copped I was expecting a catastrophie!! [ATTACH]73002[/ATTACH] I picked up some more gear this today it was like xmas morning!! precision turbo 6466 with 1.32 t4 housing [ATTACH]73003[/ATTACH][ATTACH]73005[/ATTACH] 6boost manifold [ATTACH]73004[/ATTACH] precision 66 gate [ATTACH]73008[/ATTACH] aeroflow billet fuel rail [ATTACH]73007[/ATTACH] aeromotive fuel reg [ATTACH]73006[/ATTACH] aftermarket industries twin 044 set up to go with their surge that I have already installed [ATTACH]73010[/ATTACH][ATTACH]73011[/ATTACH] Engine will be shipped of to the machinist this week as will head to get cleaned up. Will be ordering the rest of the parts this week ie cams,anti pump lifters and other associated engine hardware!! Things are moving along quite nicely hope to have some more updates soon!!

Few more products should turn up next week,have got a billet fuel rail coming..have decided on the precision 6466 billet turbo it's getting rave reviews in the states,it comes on boost quickly with the ability to make decent numbers,there a couple of surpas and an evo over in the states making over 900rwhp on e85 with it..so it will work well on a 4ltr six!! Also purchased some 1000cc xspurts and a fuel reg!!will post pics when I pick them up next week. Lee

Thanks that's good to know,spiro was thinking of the new 6466 turbo apparently it's quick on the spool and makes decent power! I've looked at a couple of surpas in the states making over 900rwhp granted that dynos read a little higher in the U.S but it's still big hp!! Would be an animal on the road behind the glide!!

At this stage Lockyer engine reconditioners will be pulling the engine down,im still yet to finalise parts but that will be done when the state of the engine is determined!they have a good rep in the drag racing industry as they have had a nitro funny car team and I believe they do ben brays turbo compact engine plus many other tough combos,so I have faith in their ability! Quick update have just purchased a precision turbo kit from dlm! Comes with precision gate,6boost manifold and turbo spiro and I are still confirming actual turbo sizing,it won't be a massive unit as I still want boost early on the street,but it will make a fair bit more than it does now!!
