  1. you dont need a surge tank in the utes,I just run the walbro intank, have been running 380rwkw+ over 100passes at the track and its never surged once, even low on fuel which I wouldnt advise!!hope this helps good luck with the mods should go hard!!!! cheers lee
  2. boost coming on hard kills them aswell!I went through 4 before finally deciding to go the powerglide.the last 1 didnt even last 1000ks upped the boost from 16 to 21 then it was all over!good luck with the rebuild cheers lee
  3. I run the new nizpro ic,have the results to back it up,a little costly though!! cheers lee
  4. well done!! bring on the colder mths lee
  5. good stuff pauly!!saw the run,how about you put more fuel in it next time would have run quicker!!!ha ha cheers lee
  6. I saw your run, just get your 60ft to a 1.9 and you,ll run a 11!will need to get your mph up around 124-125 if you hope to go deep into the 11s good luck with it all cheers lee
  7. hey typhoon freak, they sell mt streets at autobahn slacks creek, little more costly but not too bad! lee
  8. looks good!my dads got the same on his bf typhoon 20x10s on the back with 275,guards were rolled and slightly pumped, his is bionic they suit most colours cheers lee
  9. yeah ill come out to see if stevo can better his 11.8! lee
  10. theyre arent cheap, wont get much change from $8000,but its worth it!especially if your into abusing your car lee
  11. your very close, get that 60ft to high 1.6 to 1.7 and you should be nearly there!definatly have to wait until the cooler weather comes back around.I take it your running the launch control for the zf,s?I was thinking of running vp109 or martini 110,want to sort it out by the time powercruise comes around! lee
  12. yeah with the race fuel, you can put quite alot more timing into the tune, and obiously grab a few more mph up the top!judging by those that have run a 10 in a zf,you will have to be running up around the 130 mark,I have looked at doing the same in the new year, and grab a few extra tenths will let you know how it turns out cheers lee
  13. hey mate, you dont need race fuel to run a 10,providing you have all the hardware to do it,its all in the tune!!you need the boost to come on fast and hard!!I ran plenty of 11.5 with the boost coming on normally, soon a we made it come on harder I started to make inroads on that 10,downside its harsh on the driveline and traction is very poor hope this helps and good luck with 10! cheers lee
  14. I use it every now and again on my big tune,if you use it every tank you,ll end up getting a brown film over your spark plugs and you could develop a miss cheers lee
  15. yeah utes dont surge like sedans do!!also I dont run my boost through the computer!!I have a 12psi actuator and run a $100 turbosmart bleed valve,my boost curve is straight as in any temp conditions, from whatever I set it too,16-23psi,that's a cheap way of doing it,not everyone will agree though!!but its proven and boost comes on very hard!!! cheers lee
  16. I would keep the 2800 stall, perfect for these cars, best time I ran with the 4speed was a 11.2@126.9 1.89 60ft,then we put a 2spd powerglide in it,thought id go with a higher stall in it! went with a 3800,ended up going backwards ran a 11.7 @121mph 1.87 60ft,also power went from 380rwkw to 310rwkw wasnt happy at all!so we put another 2800 back in it,power went back up to 375rwkw and ran a 10.85@126mph 1.63 60ft!all this was done in similar weather(ie temp)conditions, big stalls do rob power!and top end speed.but since you didnt run it at the track 1st you might not notice it,hope this helps cheers lee
  17. nizpro stage 1+ kit, custom made crossover pipes, full xforce exhaust with 3.5inch split dump into twin 2.5inch, fuel pump, valve springs, redrilled factory injectors, airfilter with f6 snorkel, polished throttle body, kewish built auto with 2800rpm stallie (currently dead) on my 98 octane tune it made 331rwkw@16psi and on my 100 octane tune made 333.8rwkw@16spi. and its a BA Mk1. oh and its The_Bogan.... just realised I was logged in under dalt's account.
  18. thanks everyone, will try and get out wed nite, and see if I can do any better, would like to run 10.7 before working out which direction to go!like most of us id love to go faster!!!!
  19. thanks mate
  20. thanks stevo, the first 2 runs smoked it to near half track,so I knew if it would hook up a 10 wouldnt be too far away
  21. thanks guys, thanks to elite for the great tune!yeah the glide is more for reliability than performance, but I much prefer it to the 4speed for driveability aswell,I drive around in top gear all the time,it takes off from the lights normally,so its bit like a 1speed its great!!! cheers lee
  22. I'll swear by the nizpro stage 1, I've got one in my ba sedan that's making 315rwkw and you don't get as much heatsoak as other ones, imho they are the best cooler to deliver consistent power regardless of conditions. Howsee
  23. thanks tab well organised, had a great day,was nice to meet everyone, look forward to the next one cheers lee
