  1. hi,I think the comp ratio is a little higher in the n/a,a lot of people have gone the turbo conversion without any dramas,so you should be fine!!im in the process of putting a bigger turbo and manifold on mine so ill, have my setup for sale in the next few weeks at a good price cheers lee
  2. glad to hear, ive had a couple different brands of valve springs in,dont really want to change another set lee
  3. yeah my nizpro one,s have played up,will see how they hold up with the bigger turbo(probably not well)lol lee
  4. thanks senna t, will try it first have nothing to loose.cant wait to get this going, only decided the other day to go all out, this next month or so is going to take for ever!!hows your new power increase going? lee
  5. yeah good call, still want something that's useable on the street, hence why im not bothering with something massive, just got back from a mates whos nearly finished his typhoon and he,s running a gt42r with a 1.22 housing which is going to be an animal on the street,my stalls only a 2800 so will try it first at the track and see how it goes, wouldnt expect to be making much boost at that stage!! thanks lee
  6. thanks rapid, its a hard decsion as price isnt too much of an issue as they are all within a few hundred $$$ between them,im not chasing hp numbers as the car will be drag orientated not a dyno car!!around 450rwkw through a powerglide should be enough to achieve my goal.it seems 1.05 will be the ideal ar to go with thanks very much lee
  7. thanks ricky n definatly getting the bb version, was originally going to go with a t04z set up but I know id end up wanting more, will know this week what turbo and specs ill be going with lee
  8. thanks david,I thought you were running one of those turbos.1.05 sounds like the best option as the car will still see alot of street use aswell!im running a 2800 stall no transbrake and speaking to peter from gilroys he said try it with that stall first should pick up more rpm with the extra torque that the engine will make!what is the max psi these turbos make? as we will be pushing it to the limit thanks for the input lee
  9. hey scotty long time no hear, yeah thought id be happy running a 10, who am I kidding have the urge to go alot faster lol, have to catch up next dyno day when your free lee
  10. hi guys, over the next few months will be attempting to run low 10,s high nines at the track in street trim, already have a manifold and wastegate have decided to go a gt4502 (aka t51r)at this stage just wondering for people in the know!what size exhaust housing size would be best suited.will be at the track by the end of winter, any help would be appreciated thanks lee

good work!look forward to hearing how it goes down the track that elusive 10 might be just around the corner lee
  12. your probably right jt,I have run a 19 with mt,s on lol lee
  13. well done stevo!!I can taste the coronas though lol lee
  14. you can mill the wastegate a little bigger to utilize the standard flapper.cant remember exactly to what size of the top of my head, koppers did theirs and it still uses the same flapper they have had good results lee
  15. dont be too concerned,I run a powerglide and with the 4speed I made around 375rwkw on average, put the powerglide in with a 3600 stall only made 320rwkw on 20psi and mph went down to 122,we put a 2800 stall in power went back up and mph went back up to 126-127 and runs 10,s now.big stalls rob a fair bit of power,in my opinion with the standard turbo 2800 stall is plenty lee
  16. well done boys,it was good watching it!!just kept making more power each time!its running valve springs that's all, very good effort lee
  17. having driven quite a few manual ls1 and manual t,s.the holdens are fairly easy to get of the line, they dont bog down as much, making the launch alot easier, where if you dont get the t,s in the right rev range they,ll either bog down badly or fry the tyres lee
  18. I know they arent a week box.you could obviously steer, why didnt you make it in? lee
  19. not every car is the same, even if it has the same hardware on it,most tuners will have a set boost that they want to make, then bring the timing as far up until detonation(pings)putting more boost in usually results in having to drop timing out of it!my car did not make anymore power from uping the boost from 17 to 21,but it was so much quicker by a long way, hope this helps lee
  20. I see theyre doing dog gear sets for the t56 maybe that will get a few more in the 10sec zone!clutchless upshifts would be fun!! lee
  21. possibly paul@elite 11.9 could be wrong though lee
  22. go an extra half an hour to toowoomba, and use gilroys, has built all my gearboxs and a few other members on here!!great workmanship and very reasonably priced. cheers lee
  23. watch buying fuel pumps from ebay some tend to be knock offs cheers lee
