  1. I use Avast 4.8 Professional. I have found it to be very reliable. I use adaware Pro 2007 to remove all of my spyware and tracking cookies. I previously had norton Systmworks found that I was still getting virus's Whereas Avast stops the page and asks for my instructions.... I can't say enough about Avast.. It is well worth the money..
  2. I am in love...That sounds fantastic. It really makes me want to put my cams in. Who cares if it doesn't give me much of a gain..... The lump is more than worth it..
  3. Hey Dus12, I assume by the previous posts that you have a set of big cams. I messaged Dave a month back and asked him about tuning my manual T with the big set of Atomic cams that used to belong to "Youngy" in W.A. Dave recommended that I do not run them. Could you please give me an indication as to the drivability of the car eg:- what gear is required for 60km/h speed zones? Do you have any problems at cruising speed (100km/h)? Does it have any idle or cold start problems? Any advice that you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Regards Brad

  6. I put mine on a toggle switch which is earthed.
  7. I can honestly say that this will end my interest in the V8 Supercars. The whole ordeal is as always based on MONEY. I would bet my left nut that when Jamie approached Ford that a VERY large amount of cash was part of his proposition....... I guess that Ford didnt't cave to his demands... Poor Jamie.... Maybe The Expensive Daewoo sales continue to grow, Not because they have a better prodct. But due to ford withdrawing their support in the ATCC in the (From Memory) Late 70's. Due to their (Holdens) success after this time due to them pumping millions of dollars into the teams. Winning touring car championships and bathursts created millions of sales and a whole generation of holen lovers and now their children are following in their parents footsteps in regard to brand preference. The amount of young guys in holdens campared to Fords in my city is aroung 8-1.. Why don't they like Fords??? Because they never won races and were simply underpowered grandpa cars. It took Ford another 20 years (After their withdrawl from the tcc) to make a decent Falcon that would compare to a Commodore. Why is this you ask. Because they had no interest in racing or true performance vehicles. Expensive Daewoo benefited from the advertising and continues to outsell Ford.. Ford has only themselves to blame and they have no sympathy from me.. Good luck to them all(Lowndes and Windcup), I really hope that both their and the ATCC following greatly deminishes. Bring on the Group C class. Where real production cars are raced not these monstrosities that they call Holens and Fords... Bring back the REAL Bathurst. Where you could buy a vehicle that is genuinely raced at the track... No wonder the GTHO's are worth their weight in gold.... Just my 2c...
  8. In all honesty it depends on your own listening preferences and what type of music that you listen to. Focal and alpine are in all honety on a level playing field in the top end department. However I feel that Alpine (Especially the R series) have a stronger mid bass. Which is especially beneficial to the front stage and is the hardest area of the car to get good sound. The rear is not as cruical, and it will only give you a mono signal anyway..... I would recommend buying an amplifier. Buy one that will supply sufficient power (Same or more than the RMS/NOMINALpower of the speakers) as they are both brands very power hungry. It will also allow you to tune the system corretly. the factory amps do not have any crossover or gain adjustments on them. Consider the amp in the same context as your fuel pump. If your engine doesn't get enough juice it will not run to its full potential and cause damage. This applies to audio also. Distortion in car audio is either form a bad tune or underpowering as the cone no longer has controlled movement. Buy the best amp/amps that you can afford. Even best spekers in the world will sound like crap if they are underdriven. Fitting is just as crucial. Sound deadening, correct polarity, fitment and tweeter location and direction is critical. If you don't know what you are doing, please get qualified professionals to fit them as poor fitment will also degrade the sound reproduction and lessen your listening experience. I worked in as a professional car audio installer for 5 years. I designed, built and installed custom systems. I left the industry in 2004 to make more money. Be sure to make a cd with your favourite tracks and spend alot of time listening to the spakers before you make your decision. Stand there and close your eyes as you listen to the music and let your ears be the judge. We all have different tastes and needs. Good luck...... Brad
  9. Very interesting. However it is very hard to see if the bar really suits or not dure to the quality and angle on the shots. Any chance of a few better quality shots at different angles?
  10. I'm sorry to hear about your plates mate. I am amazed that noone has knocked off my HI PSI plates yet...
  11. My 340 and spare socks arrived today. I just wanted to say thank you very much for arranging the group buy. I am sure that it is very time consuming arranging it and packaging the pumps. Your time and hard work is truely appreciated. I will be purchasing an 044 of you in the coming weeks and hope that there are more group buys in the future.... Thanks again... Regards Brad
  12. I'd love an 044 but can't afford it for a few weeks... Please keep me updated with future group buys on them... Many Thanks Brad
  13. Yes... The High series only has theillumination dimmers on the right hand side. The low series has a dimmer and trip computer botton......
  14. I am having a similar problem but on a much smaller scale. I purchased a genuine BF GT front bar off a member of another ford fourm.. I had confirmed his place of work (A T.B.S shop in Brisbane) and felt comfortable paying for it. The bar was stored at his parents plave in Brisbane and had apparently been damaged in the storm that hit there late last year. He stated that the insurance covered it and I would recieve a replacement as sson as the claim was authorised. Many phone calls and months later I recieved fake addresses and constant lies. I soon grew tired of these and decided to visit the boys in blue last week with all of my information. Apparently he has a very colourful history and they are now charging him with fraud and theft by deception. I am still waiting to hear back from them, but it shouldn't be long. This may be a good path for you to follow as it will not cost you a cent in solicitor or barrister fees and the thought of having a criminal conviction and their names in the paper will certainly scare the sh*te out of them... I must say thatI have learnt from the experience. Make sure that you have a good paper trail and trust no-one. Good luck buddy. I wish you success in your endevour.... P.s:- Maybe the mods might allow an acronym ofthe comany name? Or even a general location of the Persons involved?
  15. Also, get some good under carpet sound deadener and place it under the rear seat and up the wheel archs. this will also reduce alot of road noise....
  16. I was a custom audio fitter for 5 years. We used to glue high density foam to the outer door skin, behind the speaker. This difference in sound quality was noticeable as the standing waves that cause cancellation were reduced.... You should be able to source some for an auto trimmer..... We never dynaMatted the outer skin. We felt that it was not needed. Dyno matting the inner door is greatly beneficial and is not just for reducing rattles. It actually reduces the leakage in the doors. If the negative frequencies behind the speaker can flow around and meet the front frequencies you will get frequency cancellation. Eg:- Connect up a speaker and run it whern it's sitting in your hand. It has no bass as the two (Front and rear) frequencies can meet... Now hold it in the hole in the speaker hole in the door... WHAMMO... You now hve bass..... I hope that this helps...
  17. I've never done a money order before... What postal address do you want it sent to????
  18. Hey bud, I have King Sl's fitted and I'm still using the factory shocks... I hope that this helps..
  19. Thank you for arranging the extra socks for me Sticks... It is truely appreciated... I may be interested in an 044 also. I will message you when the Group Buy is nearing completion... Thanks again....
  20. I have Nolothane bushes fitted in my front suspension, and to be honest I would not go down that path again. I was dismayed at how much rougher the car was to drive and the amount of vibration/feel that came back through the steering wheel. The shock from pot hole/repairs was extreme and the vibration was extremely noticable when you drove over coarser types of bitumen. The only posative thing that I can say about Nolathane is that it did assist in removing premature tyre wear (Inside front) from heavy breaking. The choice is yours to make... But as I stated, I will never go down this path again...
  21. Hi Guys and Gals. It appears that my instrument cluster is shagged. The speedo for some reason has died. I am now looking to replace the original But I have a few questions about replacing them before I commit to buying one. I have a high series dash with dual zone climate control in my BA II sedan. I have been told by a wrecker that the dash cluster itself is interchangeable ( Plug and Play) if I retain my outer surround. Does anyone know if this is indeed correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  22. I ahve the old version of Ad-aware SE. The company has now discontinued the updates for that version. I downloaded the new free version and was very suprised that it picked up absolutely Fu*k All... I ran the old version (Even though its definations are out of date)and it found heaps.... So the new free version is crap..... No suprise there.... Avast is really good antivirus program. I have been running it for over a year and have not had any virus's. However Avast does not find and remove spyware... I am currently running spyware search and destroy and malware bytes.... They seem to be OK... But not as good as my old Ad-aware SE
  23. YEs a dump would be great..... I'd also be interested in anothr pump and spare socks please Steph......
