  1. Thanks for the replies.. We ripped the centre apart yesterday and found the problem. It seems that these clutch pack retainers breaking are a regular thing and unfortunately you have to buy a full clutch pack to get them.Anyway, I ordered all of the parts today for a full rebuild (Complete bearing, seal and clutch kit) and I must say that the price suprised me as it was alot cheaper than I expected. They should all be here on Friday. :sungum:
  2. My m86 in my BA II XR6T is shagged so I purchased a second hand one off a forum member that had apparently done around 60k.This morning I inspected the centre and as usual for these centres there was some beaing noise. So as a precaution I decided to pull the centre apart and replace the bearings to ensure that it was going o be quiet and in good serviceable condition. As I inpulled the centre apart I found a few bits (Pictured) floating around inside. Thank god that I had checked it before getting the cradle removed and the centre fitted. Can anyone tell me what this part is and what it does? I am now chasing an exploded drawing, rebuild kit and parts required to repair and rebuil the M86. Can someone please point me I the right direction to source the items? Cheers Brad
  3. I paid $1,150 for a new Garret core and rebuilt my turbo today..... Not super expensive to do, just a pain. I'd look at the oil feeed also as this caused my failure...
  4. Hi all, I have just installed my Clevo and FMX into my XF Ghia. I am now looking to sort the fuel system so that I may maximise the fun factor. I currently have a Holley Blue pump and 1/2' fuel line running to the engine bay. This is accompanied by the standard Holley fuel regualtor. The engine is a very stout 351 cleveland with 302 rods, Roller cammed with professionally flowed 2v heads to be run in conjunction with a 4500rpm stall. I have a Barry Grant RS series carb with annular boosters which is configured to 810cfm. will be running a 4500 rpm stall. So now the questions begin: 1. What fuel regulator should I use? 2. Should I get one that utilises a return line? 3. What size should the return line be? 4. What setup should I use at the carb? Eg: fuel log or one of the braided -8 jobs off ebay? 5. If the fuleog idea is no good, what should the lines size be to ensure that there is minimal restriction? 6. Should this have a dual inlet to ensure that bother metering blocks get equal pressure? Or is one sufficient? I look forward to hearing from you. Your advice is greatly appreciated. Brad
  5. Hi all, As usual thing seem to die just when you don't want them to. Such is the case with my standard turbo. I have been saving rigoursly for a new engine, bought a high mount and dump, but don't have enought to buy the new turbo and make new lines etc. What are my options iwth getting this standard one re-cored? Where can I source the core form and what sort of $$$$ ?? What do you think that I should do? Cheers Brad
  6. When you port the housing the wastegate exit, It will be ovaled not round. Due to the height restrictions of the upper and lower floor you can only take until it is level. So you then extend the port horizontally.. Once you have the housing in your hand you'll see what I mean.
  7. Read my previous post and click on the link for my pictures.

  10. Hi all, I am trying to fond some pictures of what I would describe as the best look F6 in the land. I saw pictures of it here on the forums many moons ago. It was a black F6 and if my memory serves me correctly it was from W.A. It had a hug Alpine install with numerous amp in the boot and 2 sets of SPX splits in the front doors. Could some please help me to find some pictures or the thread to this black beauty? Any help that you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Brad

  13. Hey bud, I purchased a second hand set of Stage 3 cams some years ago from a forum member named "Youngy". The package hasn't ever been unwrapped.... Not long now until they will be utilised.... Don't let the sarcasm rom some members put you off... It is YOUR ride after all.....
  14. I have a second hand set of Atomic Cams which I will be putting into my next engine.. I really don't care if it doesn't make power... You're certainly not losing it..... But it sounds a farking lot tougher..... That sounds like a win to me....... Just my opinion....

  16. I am currently running the fronts on the setup from the shop which is 16 (front) and 9 (back). I find this a touch to hard for everyday driving... Just out of curiousity. What settings are you running them on?
  17. Hi.. I was just wondering if anyone knows if a set of BA/BF billet oil pump gears are the same as those used in a FG?
  18. Hey buddy, Head over to the guys at Rocky Car Sound... Tell them that Brad sent you over to have a chat.... They do great work.... I worked there for 5 yrs.....
  19. I got mine put in n Friday... I have only got my full licence back on Saterday so I am dying to put them through their paces. So as you could well understand it is still a bit early to say what I really think of them... They sre set at medium firmness and I must say that the car handles completely different.. It is alot stiffer than my King Sl's and I am sure that I can get a very comfortable ride from them.... But the performance gains will be phenomenal.

  23. Hey Worm... Sorry I didn't realise that my inbox was full and I have now made room... I have sent you a PM containing all of his contact information... He does custom work and can fabricate words and numbers into you mesh at an extra price.. I am arranging for him to put "Predator" into the BF GT rear mesh for me...
  24. Is a complete Atomic oil pump a real necessity fo anything up to 500 rwkw??? Can you get away with billet gears alone? Does the pump need the billet backing plate???
