seems that there will be a long delay on our products... demands v.s. production cost... cheers, richie

we will be likely to do carry out some testings (crash testings) when our CF bonnets are done and I will need to speak to the factory manager/designer about it since the SAAB bonnets would need to get tested before getting shipped out to Germany... Planning to release our bonnets in Feb, March time next year... cheers, richie

we are working on some bonnets.... and once we have the base ones ready... vent designs shouldn't be any problem... We are planning to release those CARBON FIBRE bonnets in Feb to March time... (will definitely have a V8 bonnt and a plain T bonnet design) So are you guys interested in Drift6 bonnet (exactly the same design)?? cheers, richie

Can we please have one that is based on air flows and pressure differances not on just what looks good. For me I only needs one vent and that is one long slot vent right a the front just above the space between the radiator and the engine. Ie drift6, evo or skyline ← and that's what I would want as well... R34 GTR Nismo bonnet style... all the air vents behind half way of the bulge is gonna create some air flow problems (according to one of very famous Melbourne ford tuning houses)... and you are correct... better to put those vents just right behind the radiator... We are extremely interested in making some nice CF bonnets and will also prefer to use the press-mould method + heat to cure the bonnet, just like our interior kits instead of using the traditional laminating method to ensure the optimal weight saving and the strength... If press moulds are used, each CF bonnet (or we can also use kevlar) will be around 5.5 kilo or less... but it all comes down to the cost and demands really.... I think a normal xr8 bonnet will see the light first and follow by a vented bonnet then the rest of the CF body parts... cheers, richie

the kit will come with ballasts, all wiring looms and h7 hid bulbs to take the original bulbs' places... cheers richie
-
we are also planning to do some light weight CF hoods too... ... with vents of course... cheers richie

if there is a HID kit for around 300 to 350 mark, would you guys like that?! cheers, richie

+1 .. Xenon kits or beemer style angel eyes would look the goods if done well me thinks... ← Ross, I know a manufacturer who does angel lights for all bimmers and other makes... I am sure if there is enough interests, he will get into Ford kit too with our helps! Also the xenon lights are a lot cheaper now, what sort of light bulb type does Falcon use??? H4??? cheers, richie

Nissan R33 Skyline Gtr Rear End Into A Ba Ute
carbonford replied to gogo's topic in Suspension and Handling
I was in shocked when I saw that at Nizpro a couple of weeks ago... and simon told me that he was going to put that up his ute... I was like... WOW... that's a different thing and those gangs at nizpro are always full of surprises and good works! I believe it will turn out well giving that simon always knows what he is doing with both Nissan and Ford (of course and others too ) cheers, richie -
motor mag does that all the time... in that particular issue on the 350Z vs. rx8 vs. Bimmer 1 series... the 350Z data is all wrong... it supposed to be a 221KW engine with 18" wheels + brembo brakes... a lot of mistakes lately on motor mag.... cheers, richie

talk about the BMW M cars, I used to have an e36 M3 with SMG gearbox, or should I say sh!tbox too? it just died for no reason for 4 times through out my 2.5 years of ownership... and I also heard that many problems still with the SMGII on the m3... and also m3 had got many engine problems (blew engines) back then when they were first released... so I guess those XRs are just a few small individual cases just like those from BMW... cheers and happy turboing! richie

I heard that even with a heavily modified R34 GTR going around track for like 5 to 6 laps, the most it will need is around 30 seconds to cool the car down... so I reckon it is not needed though for the car... if you do go to the track, 30 seconds are nothing, just to cool the car down with the hood up! With the timer, I reckon it increases the risk of the car being stolen though... (I might be wrong here) cheers, richie

I think you should be able to price it at 25K though.... can should be able to sell it quite alright... is the car modified? if it is, that might be the reason... good luck! cheers, richie
