Yep, compression test is the first thing I would have done. Could also be a blown head gasket, but I don't think this is a common problem. ← Thanks for your help. Looks like ford are replacing my engine. They wont tell me why but I get stuck with a focus for the next two weeks

Is there any way to check for blow by or a broken ring land without pulling the head off?

Heaps of oil. Car hasnt lost much power but is now blowing smoke. Checked turbo and all is fine but intake hose is full of oil.

Hi I have a problem with my 2003 xr6-t. It is leaking oil straight into the intake manifold pipes. Anybody know what may be causing this? Also I have a ticking sound (Which may be turbo ping) coming from the engine under low load. Please help
