  1. Mines started to leak too... but it only does a few drips when the motors on full boost, no drips from normal traffic driving.
  2. you should look at wider rims for the back mate... all that sexhead power is wasted through 245s
  3. Nice... gonna look really good when the bars sprayed!
  4. There are some things to consider first befor gearing up and tuning on E85... Max power your after, can you achieve it on normal fuel? with more boost, timing different hardware, ect Is the turbo big enough for what you want? Stock turbos dont really flow much more air over 400kw, and that's doable on normal fuel, once the turbo is maxed... Will the motor cope with the intended power? If your on 350wkws now, and considering E85, weigh up the costs of the new/bigger fuel system and full retune... you might get the same result by getting the existing tune tweaked with a few extra psi. Dont get me wrong, its an awesome fuel, and if it was more easilly available we'd all be using it, but their are factors to consider, as always. For the big big power cars, its a definate if your able to do it.
  5. Also depends on the accual measured width of the tyre, I've had some 275/30s that have been alot wider, than other brand 275/30s on the same rim. I have Nexen 265/30 on 8.5inch rims on the front, the side walls pull in a little... and 295/30s on 9.5s on the rear, they are also pulled in a touch.
  6. Awesome gate's there Steph
  7. I can vouch for this mans car being very clean... 3 bucks hey, must say I'd never paid much attention to little you'd put in the coin slot lol
  8. Yeah its more about getting the car up to speed and being able to stay on speed, which is why so many smaller, less powered cars fly around Wakey, handling/stabillity is more important. You should do a half day at Marulan mate, flash in a 300 tune and see how it handles... they say once you figure out fast laps at Marulan you'll knock a few seconds off your next Wakey times.
  9. Good times Nigel, did you get any video footage? I feel for Wakey, a good torque 320-350wkw tune would be nice... nice and strong down low so you can hold it in 3rd up the back of the track, with just enough punch to poke the back out going up the hill
  10. Nice car mate, saw it at Joe's last week.
  11. LOL at the screamer... doesnt take long before they give you the sh*tes.
  12. There's a plenum on the runners, its the slim log style that runs the length of the motor with the runners comming off under it, with the TB centre mounted on top. This isn't a new design in regards to inlet manifolds, but can be very effective... common style with the rotary guys, and a certain plazmaman 9sec FJ'd Mazda ran this style of manifold qyite some time ago.
  13. that's great info, but muffler design plays a huge part in making a system flow and support big power. Twin 2.5s, single 4inch whatever, if the mufflers wont flow the same, it wont support as much power as it should. A simple 3.5inch single system can flow massive power with good flowing mufflers, or struggle to make 300kw with poor mufflers.
  14. Was that shyxr's BA?
  15. Some of the Jap turbo guys have done this, not the best method and makes you wonder why they didnt just sell... but there's an exhaust manifold adapter you can buy for Silvias/200sx, runs off the T3 outlet and down into the exhaust, then you'd need to block off oil and water lines, and plumb up the intake. I supose if you've invested alot in your car, and dont have a huge wait till your off your P's it could be considered. The falcon would be alot easier to do though... raid the wreckers for NA exhaust manifold, intake pipe ect and remove all the IC gear... geez it would be a nugget though lol
  16. Yeah theres an F6 on here that made 349wkws on the stock injectors safely, made 370odd but was leaning apparently. XR6t and G6et max at around 300wkws... but of course that's all dependand on dynos, tuners ect ect... but it looks to be the average.
  17. AWESOME, now that is a JET! 535 on a Mainline is impressive. It will be great to know how drivable it is through the ZF... your gonna have fun keeping that in a straight line lol
  18. Ah ok well that's good to know then as the few guys I know that fitted them told me this, Rooster showed me his where he had to cut the little tab inside the snorkel so it would flatten down more to clear the bonnet, all good if yours fits in I guese what I'm saying is think about future mods befor buying/fitting the xr8 box, sure it breaths in more air so it will make a difference, but most intercooler kits are designed for the stock snorkel, so the piping wont/may not clear the bigger xr8 snorkel, something to consider for future mods. Arkayn, One of the first changes I made to the G6et was a 5inch 100cpi cat, and then 3.5inch stainless pipe back to the centre muffler. Its free'd up the exhaust very well, though it sounded funny, bit like a civic with a cannon, not too desirable lol After that I dropped the centre muffler, replaced with more 3.5inch pipe... just made it very droney inside, and louder again outside. Its now 3.5in from turbo to tip with 2 straight through mufflers. it shouldnt be too hard for him to cut and weld in a new cat, I wouldnt stress about that.
  19. Nice result... the G6ET is a great car to drive with decent power
  20. If the 2nd cai is a pipe that runs down to the grill, it is a better mod than the xr8 box/snorkel as the xr8 snorkel has to be cut and flattened down alittle to fit under the bonnet, restricting flow... go for the tuners cai, sounds solid in approach. Changing the cat is where good power gains will be made... its odd that's he's not keen on it, re-tuning will/should fix up any over boost, cel issues. FG's also get quiet loud when the centre muff is replaced with straight pipes, mine did so I swapped in a straight through muff at the time... but yeah, stock exhaust and 100cpi cat is proven to flow 350wkws on F6...
  21. Great result there mate, enjoy it!
  22. Good stuff mate, made a healthy power gain by the sound of it. Let me know when you hit the track in it
  23. They dont fit under the stock 18s, and was told same for the 19s, so you'd have to get FPV spec wheels too. But yeah be nice if Brembos were a factory option.
  24. I didnt run it stock... 12.6 was with a cooler, cat and light tune. This was on stock injectors and 11psi. Once the next tune is done I'll run it again... anything under a mid 11 would be nice.
  25. Same cooler kit as yours GMH8R.
