  1. 315 is a bit too wide for a 10in, maybe 10.5 though... I had 295 on 9.5s which worked well but there was some noticable sidewall flex. You wont get 315s in a BA wihout getting serious... I had the guards rolled and pumped to fit the 295s, just fitted. 315s will fit on an FG with a roll and pump... so time for an FG Alf.
  2. You can get the .7AR cover with the stock sized 3inch inlet, wont really change power from a 4inch inlet on the stock turbo
  3. Dam that thing looks awesome
  4. You wont get vl dose with 4inch intake unless you get a lot more hardcore... a 3inch intake will dose as you want it now.
  5. Yep the fun begins at 20psi... but your fingers are crossed lol
  6. Need more boost champ
  7. To go high 400s and above you'll need a turbo rated around 1000hp, but theres more to picking a turbo than alot of guys think. first up decide how much power you want, how much low down power you are happy to live without, max boost you want to run ect. You can select a turbo that will in theory make 500wkws on 30psi, which may be maxed out at this level... or choose a turo that will make 600wkws on 30psi but run it at 20psi, and in theory, make high 400s. Common upgrades have been GT42 and GT45 turbos of various trim/specs, most seeing over 500 when all the related hardware & tuning things are sorted. Also all the related hardware needs to be chosen corectly to suit the application... you can easilly buy all the gear you need, bolt it all on, tune and run it, you may end up with the high 400 you want on the dyno, but a pig on low rpm and around town I run a GT45 on my G6ET, which is very street-able...its only set to 9psi at this stage but alot of time has been spent in sorting out wastegate & exhaust design to be able to run low boost and be a street-able drive.
  8. The factory bov is plumback, so theres no problem replacing it with an after market plumback.
  9. Atleast you didn't get complete cheese cutters on the rear lol
  10. I'd rather see poeple getting them fitted by a work shop if they arn't sure of how to do it... the fuel system isn't something you should muck around with if your not trained to.
  11. Yeah 340 has the larger opening/inlet, but the outlets are both the same as is the flow rate.
  12. Yeah from the 3000kays we did in Cali, there were only a few HWP getting around. The US is just an awesome place to drive around.
  13. Has anyone tried FG coils (and cam cover) on BA BF? The coils bolt down to the cover and are sealed in... Ive been running mine sans plastic cover for a few months now.
  14. You cant just pull a magic AFR figure out of thin air and say its the best to use, theres alot more to it than that. A good torque making figure effectivness will depend on psi level, timing, Intake temps, Exhaust gas temps ect... its all effected greatly by the motors supporting hardware. Ive seen XR6Ts rattle/ping with AFRs in the rich 11s, and others produce very smooth strong power in the mid 12s without det... Get it on a dyno, check afr's and detonation... or if you know what your doing atleast have a wideband set up and a tunnel to drive through.
  15. ZF is cool isnt it.
  16. Yep one of Plazmamans

    About Time

Yeah that boost drop off is fairly normal... to keep it up at 13.8psi you need a stronger (12psi) actuator and wastgate port enlarged. Basically whats happening is the boost is spiking to 13.8psi then settling down on 12, which isnt too bad a some struggle to hold boost and drop to under 10psi. The BF dump is the same as BA, its the cat and the piping just out of the cat that is different... if you can find a BF section use that with a pipe where the cat used to be... otherwise you'll need a xhaust shop to make a Y section to replace the BA cat which has twin outlets. The best way would be to buy a 4inch dump, and get a xhaust shop to fit in a straight pipe ah NZ and the no cats, hope nothings blowing over to us lol

Is that with stock BA cat? If so, then yeah power will go well over 310 with a higher flowing cat
  19. Yeah mid 300s
  20. Yeah I thought a layer of poly around it would be nice... not much flex but just enough to rid the vibrations... maybe. I'd imagine noise would be different in other cars... different chassis, floor pans ect
  21. We made one last year when I still had the BA... safe to say its a race car thing only lol Diff whine was louder, the play that the diff already had sounded worse. I never tested it on the track, as the round rubber coupler in the tail shaft turned inside out within a few weeks If you were to do it, Id also do the side ones, get a solid tail shaft made up and enjoy the noise lol
  22. Yeah man... and I weight heaps more than you!
  23. Hey let me know when Danny's going to tune it so I can come down to Melb, park myself in the back and help bed in the cv's... crunch crunch crunch lol
  24. Nice car Robbo, FG's arnt too shabby even in stock form eh. and nice to see the shire mums are still in good form lol
  25. Ah nooo lol 12.5mm or half inch hose is what you need. Just make sure its a good qual rubber hose that is ok with fuel and oil other wise it may start to perish over time.
