I want to update the GPS system in my G6Et and I have searched the footwell of the passenger side as advised but cannot find anything that resembles a GPS system, how would I update this, is it a case of sending off to whereis and spending $199 on a new disk, then how easy is it to install. Any advice would be most welcome. Cheers. Pete

I meant a purge valve - in any case - it hasnt worked...got the thmp again today.....

It was investigated by Titan Ford and they found it to be a relief valve (or similar)which is set close to the left hand side body and when it discharges it can hit the inside of the wheel arch - this valve has been moved slightly and a dampening material inserted between the valve and the side of the engine compartment. Hello all, I wonder if someone can advise me please. I have a 3yr old F6 Typhoon, over the last few months I have been getting an odd thump under the front left hand side, sounds very much like a rock hitting the underside of the vehicle, which is what I thought it was at first until I started to hear it when the car was stationary at the lights and last time stationary in a car park. The odd thing is that it only happens every once in a while and may take up to 100ks before it happens again and only one thump. I know this sounds weird and I dont want to take it to the Ford service without some clue because unless they hear it I doubt they will have any idea and will want to take it for extensive testing and charge me big bucks to do it. I just wondered if the collective mechanical knowledge on this site might have a clue. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers, Pete

Hello, This is probably a very simple question but I am a previous owner of an XR6T and for the last two years have an F6 Phoon.....I want to change the blue oval for FPV badges - I have bought these - not having had experience with changing badges before and not wanting to damage my lovely vehicle - can someone please let me know the best way to remove and replace these badges. I was the proud owner of an XR6T for four years which at the time was the most exciting and exillarating vehicle I had owned until 18 months ago - I bought a new F6 - this is like belonging to an exclusive club - the acknowledgment that you get from GT-P and F6 owners is brilliant - it is a lovely hugely responsive car -and gets those Mazda 6 and Audi owners all psyched up to try and show you what they have - the answer....not a lot! Hi everyone - I guess I am not new to this site having been a member for a while but not been on the site or posted regularly - I was prompted by the email asking where I was (how nice is that) - I had a blue XR6t for four years and last year traded up to the fabulous F6 Typhoon (ego) - what a beauty. I wouldnt mind putting some "go-faster" stripes - but I must admit that I also dont want to spoil the lines - are there any instances of "good" striping on the F6?
