  1. Wow nothing like starting a debate. I'm very happy with the service I get from the dealership and this was never an issue. My suggestion was just that you can spend a tiny amount of extra money for a huge gain. I apologise to the trademen who may be offended by this but again not surprised to hear from those who would admit to intend to damage anothers property. Thanks for the warm welcome to the forum.
  2. I don't see it like that at all. Its more of a tip and a show of appreciation of his skill. By introducing yourself to him it puts a face to the car so to speak therefore making him feel more accountable about his workmanship.
  3. Here is a suggestion for all who worry about their cars in the hands of a Ford technician. What I do is arrive just before they open so I'm the first 1 to see the Service Manager and mine is the first job of the morning. Once the keys have been handed over and signed the paper work I then go and wait in the carpark for the technician to walk out to collect her. Before he even touches the door handle I make myself known as the owner and hand him $20. I tell him I expect a good job and that the car is not to be scratched. It works everytime and when I return to pick it up its 100%. Just my 2 cents worth. Ford Falcon Current: XR8 owner, BF XR6T Ute on order (delivery July)
  4. New member here I came across this forum by a link from a Ford website that I don't remember sorry. I have been reading alot of the posts here for months and decided to become a member this morning. At present I own a 03 XR8 which I have had since new and have found it to be the best Falcon I have ever owned (its the 12 or 13th Falcon I have owned). I have not long ordered a BF XR6T ute which should be delivered in July. Some of you will be wondering why the change from the V8, I love my XR8 but its time to try a turbo. I have 72,000 kms on the old girl and during that time I have driven her extremely hard for only 1 failure (split radiator). Looking forward to July. Ford Falcon
