  1. This is getting pretty common a Mate of mine is seriously looking at selling his VYII SS M6 for a new BF Typhoon M6 Do it is all I have to say

Come on Jeff pretty bold statement for someone with little or NO experience with Boss motor's,put a 290 into a car with the weight of a crapadoor and see what it can do I did'nt have any trouble with any Hsv in the straights and around the twisty's on the last cruise and I've only spent $2100 on mods p1ssing off the Dunlop's is a big improvement for the handling alone and if the Boss motors where in the AU series they probably would'nt have the reputation that they do Chris from Bluepower is running 11.7 in his xr8 with only bolt on's And std GT's have run a 13.8 also not bad for nearly 2 Tonne of car and driver CYA JEFF <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Too Right and im sure it has been said before but obviously people arn't listening, the BOSS is a impressive V8 more so the 290 Version, with a few FPV's pulling around 300Rwkw with just Bolt on's and a tune, show me any LS1/2 that has done that? Anyone? And the Boss's Fuel economy isn't half as bad as they make out in magazines like MOTOR, especially after Mods. I will belive this 6.0L SS Pull's a 13.8 when someone over on LS1.com.au pull that time or better and posts the timeslip untill then who cares...
  3. F6 really no question, better brakes, big body kit, the rest of the FPV luxurys and the drive day Going from a T3 to a XR6T would be a step down unless he is Modding it
  4. And not everyone would like something the size of an XR6T either, for $35,000 - $40,000 we could easily pick up a good condition MK1 XR6T with good options but she want's something smaller, better on fuel, but still has some go too...

GT would be my choice if you are going Manual, they are slower than the Typhoon, but that doesn't mean that they are a slow car, they sound great and there are good power gains to be made, my old mans Pursuit put down 264.5 Rwkw after only Exhaust and Intake. Depends how much power you are hunting and how much your willing to spend to get it there I guess, but nothing sounds like a BOSS Test drive them Both

  8. Good buy mate don't worry about what they say about the colour, white looks extreamly hot with dark tine and polished up. Blueprint is as Common as a HRT fan in 2002 anyway Evan my Grandmar wants a Blueprint so are you boys sure it's White that's the old persons colour?
  9. Good idea get a Ford T56 out of a wrecked BA/BF as they are said to be far superior to the standard T56. Blood Orange is the Best

    Xr6 Or Xr8

    If it's going to be Auto it's the XR6T If it's Manual I would choose XR8 If your going to Mod (Serious mods not like just a K & N Filter) go the XR6T If it's going to get like a Cats Back Exhaust and that is all I would choose the XR8. If your going BF the Auto V8's are as fast as a T but if your going BA/BA MKII they are SLOW. Can't beat the sound of a BOSS with an Aftermarket Exhaust though mate, drive emboth is the only way to choose

Considering the money it's going to cost you for the Brakes, Bodykit, Etc you would be much better off buying a Typhoon, can run bigger power on stock Engine and Manual or Auto seems to handle the power, but the new Auto is yet to be seriously tested after mods. And you get the bonus of having a real F6 Typhoon instead of a XR6T dressed up, big brakes avalible from the factory and there fast enough stock to beat the best standard HSV they can throw at it
  13. Option 1 - Shockwave isn't neerly as common as Rapid, good price, you don't have to wait and as has been said you an spend the saving on Edit, don't bother with the factory 19's they are a rip off get your self some aftermarket ones that you love and make your car unique.

  15. Dad took a Mate and they didn't care said that the major reason was so no little kids were taken and that it would be boring as hell for a spectator to only watch all day

  20. I remember when mum had her BA XR8, sitting behind a late model Porshe 911 (I think) both booted it off from the lights, only for the Porshe driver to be suprised to have a Stock XR8 running right with it
  21. I got a quote of RACV it is cheeper for me next year (18) to have an XR6T than a AUII XR8 which sucks because it will be the AUII XR8 that I get as I cannot see anyway of me affording an XR6T not that I wouldn't be happy with the XR8..
  22. I remember when Mums old BA XR8 got resprayed (Blood Orange) it took them about 3 days to match the colour but we don't go to that shop anymore either...

  25. LS2 KLR is great still alot of great combinations avalible I brought FPV 8U yesterday cannot wait to get them
