  1. It does actually specify for ZF but it doesn't tend to agree with them. Yep it doesn't agree with the ZF, already used it once and drained it out a few weeks later. Put in either the genuine oil, Nulon SYN ATF or the Gulf Western oil.
  2. TCM has to be swapped over from the old gearbox, otherwise it won't communicate with the ECU. On the drivers side of the zf there should be a sticker with the serial and part number of that box, check the number against the number on the build plate of the territory. That's just an example
  3. Grows on ya Aaron, Looks better in person. I have the door cards to go on yet. Jet, it's called Saint Elmo's Fire Kinetic Silver satin. Has a metallic flake through it. Looks better than in the photos. I've got another rocker cover getting modified and powder coated, as well as a timing cover. Rocker cover will be red, unsure on timing cover.
  4. Modified a few things to make the inlet manifold fit better and stop it heating up so much from the heater pipe. Also got it powder coated while it was off, looks heaps better. Intake temps are alot better now too. Also picked these leather seats up out of a wrecked mk2 BA Ghia, odd colour but I like them. They needed a good clean up and the drivers seat has a few indents but I'm happy with them. Never seen this colour combo before. Drivers seat frame was a little bent, so pulled my old seat apart and used my old frame.
  5. Not sure what turbo you have, but with some you need an oil restrictor so it doesn't blow the seals.
  6. Got my intake manifold powder coated today, looks heaps better. Also had to modify the heater pipe so got a Plazmaman -10an fitting to push into the thermostat housing and ran pushlok hose.
  7. Can't believe I'm promoting the oppositions products haha [emoji23][emoji23]
  8. I'm pretty sure I've read on here somewhere that the Repco driveshafts are stronger than standard. Might be worth trying?
  9. Pretty sure Pedders do 1400hp driveshafts for our cars.

    Ba xr6 turbo

I've got the 322mm front and 328mm rear pbr upgrade, cheap and has excellent stopping power and can also keep the standard wheels. Just watch the rear brake hose clearance on the 17 inch wheels!
  11. That's the grease coming out of the rear tailshaft cv joint, pretty common but not a cheap fix. Mines been leaking for years haha
  12. Still is somewhere in the world
  13. Reviving an old thread, Found this doing some research. Turbo models have a 3.73 lsd diff, not sure about non turbo. I wonder how a non turbo tr6060 would go with a BA 3.46 lsd?
  14. Na only took an hour to drop it out haha done it a few times now, done a mates diff numerous times. I broke the diff hat once, so changed that and put in adjustable upper control arms while I was at it.
  15. Ouch, that's not good mate. Have you thought about what you're going to do? I've nearly convinced myself to go manual haha
  16. I'm in the same boat, I've got the zf albeit a non turbo version, and it's handling the power well but is due to be rebuilt/replaced. No idea how much power I've got but it's tuned to 22psi. ZF built with 6r80 parts etc I was quoted nearly $10,000. To do a conversion to a th400 is about the same but will handle more power, no good for track work I'd say though. Manual conversion with decent clutch and flywheel would be $5000-$6000
  17. I'm not sure, but seeing as the 6r80 is in bigger, heavier vehicles, the input shaft is thicker and stronger. I don't understand what needs to be machined to fit, but there's lots of info on the web you might find something? An engineering place may be able to machine whatever needs to be done if you take the parts and explain what needs to be done? Why not look at doing manual?
  18. Yeah someone is having troubles with rvo on the forums as we speak. They'd only need the box, it would need a custom converter made up and the box retuned I'd say. 6r80 are the American version of the zf iirc, it's in some of the rangers and the last territory's. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/93089-6r80-parts-into-zf6/&share_tid=93089&share_fid=91659&share_type=t
  19. I've seen the 6r80 input and drum assembly on eBay a few times for around $1500, but then you need a new converter too. I'm pretty sure you'll need to the drum assembly machined to match the rest of the internals. If you stay with a billet shaft, I'd get the tune revised and get the torque removed more on the shifts.
