  1. Lawn needs to be mowed haha Just done plazmaman 70mm hot side piping and looking for a bigger intercooler today as ive only got 450x300x76 which is a bit small. Motor is built just needs the zf strengthened

  4. Hows the build going mate? Any updates? I put a turbo on my bf n/a and its made 242rwkw on 8psi and lasted nearly 2 1/2 years before I pulled it out and it was still going strong with no issues. Just don't push it too hard
  5. Been looking at the 1000hp exedy friction discs for the zf, I can get them through work and we have a good transmission builder who said he could do it for me

  7. So seems like its fixed. Put a new radiator (again) twin ba bf thermo fans and put a proflow expansion tank on and took it for a drive, didn't even think of over heating ? Thanks everyone for the help and comments
  8. ZF gearbox. Still holding strong so far for the NA version if the gearbox. I keep hearing the na and turbo zf boxs are different.. anyone heard about this?
  9. Yeah the single fan is pulling air through the radiator and it has the shroud around it. Might have to play around with it again tomorrow. Merry Christmas everyone
  10. So I need the twin thermos? Whats the best way to bleed the system? I've tried letting it idle with the hose to the overflow at the thermostat off to bleed the air out then let it get up to running temp but then it just starts blowing coolant out the overflow lol
  11. Thanks for all the replies. The thermo is kicking in just fine and keeps the car at 90 degrees but after half an hour it just can't keep up, and being originally a non turbo it only has the single thermo fan but its the 16 inch 2200cfm davies craig one. I've tried bleeding the air out but maybe I'm not doing it right? And no I'm not doing stand stills haha Its very frustrating lol How could I check if it's the timing or fuel? I've got the dashcommand app with the obd2 plug is there anything I can do to check?
  12. Well it's a new fully rebuilt turbo motor, new coolant, all new parts, davies craig digital fan controller which works well. Radiator is 6 months old, engine is 8.4:1 compression and running rich with 80lb injectors. The system holds pressure with a radiator pressure tester but only tried it for half an hour. This is the second thermostat ive tried with the same problem, car is fine for half an hour then starts heading for the 3/4 mark. The cooling pipes to the turbo make gurgling noises when the cars turned off. Had the head checked and its not leaking. Got me stuffed lol
  13. Hey everyone, Ive got a BF xr6t its had a new motor put in and done just over 3000kms, temps here have just started to push 40 degrees and its starting to over heat. Sits just over a 1/4 for half an hour driving then starts to get hot. Now it's got a new thermostat, water pump, bf xr8 32mm radiator and davies craig thermo on set at 92 degress and nothing seems to help. Any ideas?
  14. Pulled out the old na motor a few weeks ago, she was getting a bit tired lol. Now have a fully built motor in with a gt3582r with billet front wheel and 40mm flapper mod. Made 292rwkw and 870nm of torque on 12psi. Going back in a month to get it tuned on 16psi just hoping the box holds together.
  15. New built engine fitted and retuned on 12psi last weekend, very happy with it so far! Actuator wouldn't boost over 12psi though.

  16. Hi all, Just thought I'd share my ride. 2005 BF xr6 that a mate and I put a turbo on. All tuning done by CAPA. Currently runs on 7psi and has 245rwkw with 725nm of torque.
  17. I done the same conversion on my BF falcon, made 245rwkw and 725nm of torque on 8psi. Awesome write up
