  3. OK Folks a small change is required with the meeting point. Classes will be on as normal at ECU so I have moved the meeting point to: FREEDOM FURNITURE CAR PARK JOONDALUP DRIVE, EDGEWATER
  4. That would have been Jarrom that you met. Here's some details on the XR5 cruise for those interested... Following Targa I came up with a "Targa revisited" route which incorporates 4 of the special stages from Targa, including one described by Jim Richards co-driver as "The best stretch of road I've competed on in 15 years" Cruise will take about 4 hours round trip from Joondalup (including lunch). We will stop at Bindoon for lunch (BBQ/Picnic) by the banks of the river (or you could choose to purchase something from the shops). Itinerary will be: Meet ECU Joondalup 10:30am Arrive Bindoon for lunch 12:30pm Depart Bindoon 2:00pm Arrive Joondalup 2:45pm Weather for Monday should be fine and 20 degrees LUNCH STOP Clune Park - Just north of Bindoon townsite on the Great Northern Highway and only a short distance from the shops. This is the place to stop if you want to give the children a break on the modern skill-testing swings, monkey bars and other physical challenges. Well maintained toilets, gardens and plenty of space. A skate park and Rotunda have recently been constructed. BBQ's available.
  5. Going by last years event, we will be about 20metres from the cars on the track. In the service area the cars are open to the public. I've also attached the running sheet for the day so people have a better idea of exactly what we'll be up to including times, etc. DEFINATE'S Perth XR5 (Nick) Black orsexr5 (Simon) Black flyingscottsman (Justin) Red illeone05 (Scott) Black theboylard (Andrew) Sea Grey ST300 (Dan) Orange Macxr5 (Tony) Black XR06T Blueprint XR6T hudj20 (Hudson) Orange GasMan (Markus) Sea Grey XR4 bratt01 White XR4 MAYBE'S XR5LYN (Lyn??) 7. OK, well the weather is looking fine for Sunday so we should be in for an enjoyable day. Meeting will be at ECU Joondalup at 9:00am. From there we will head off to Bindoon for the Stage there as well as a look through the Service Park. We'll grab lunch at the Bindoon Bakery (anyone who hasn't sampled their offerings is in for a treat!). After liuch we'll head over to the Coondle West stage before finishing up in Toodyay. See you all at ECU Joondalup on Sunday @ 9:00AM ! ! ! ! !

  13. Whilst the weather's been atrocious (for driving) for the past few weeks, it looks like we'll catch a break tomorrow looking at the latest weather forecast... 16. Thanks Steve, Just to clarify a couple of points, the cruise will be on Sunday 12/8/07 starting @ 9:00am. The meeting point is pictured below. I will update this post with attendees. Will be great to see a range of XR's on the day.
  17. Geez Narelle does get around a bit during the day! At least I cleaned it up for her today
  18. Congrats Steve - time for the family now. The little one(s) make it all worthwhile
  19. Nope, not me - I'm ST 06 WA Damn these XR5's, there as common as anything these days
  20. They're keeping the XR5 as is for the moment. The only change is to the dash lighting (going from green to red) and an updated Head Unit http://www.fordxr5turbo.com/forum/index.php?topic=1563.0;all
  21. Ha ha. Yes it's nicer now with the new tune. Just need to teach Narelle how to do better gear changes - 2nd to 4th when she took off from Kingsley Drive lights. Trying to get down to Motorplex on the 30th.
  22. Apparently Ford have now agreed to rectify the situation and have them retrofitted. Nice long thread on it over at fordxr5turbo.com but we had to move it to a provate area of the forum as the customer service team were monitoring it
  23. The benchmark was moved to 14.007 last night in Perth. In relation to mods, we have the usual mods available to us, exhausts, intercoolers, edits, intakes. Not sure about injectors, and there is a turbo replacement available, but that costs big $$$ The only local product readily available is an exhaust developed by Hi-Tech. One of the members had an intercooler fabricated as well. We try to keep a tab on the available mods here http://www.fordxr5turbo.com/forum/index.php?topic=1360.0
  24. The Red one broke a driveshaft. It's all fixed and back on the road now. The quickest time so far was a 14.18. In stock form they run mid to high 14's. At the end of the day, the car isn't suited to the 1/4 mile and to do low 14's is pretty impressive.
  25. If you are refering to KPM Motorsport I don't think they will respond. The claim of 190atw is just ridiculous without some other engine mods and a bigger turbo. They also have some pretty good claims on other XR models (600kw XR6T & 450rwkw XR8's)!! In relation to me heading to the dyno, it's all about time at the moment. Becoming a father 5 weeks ago, and getting married in 4 weeks time has left me a bit busy. What I have managed though is some in gear accelaration times (using a G-Tech) of the car with an without an edit. These were done on the same stretch of road each time to make sure the results were accurate. The results for the un-edited car were..... 3rd gear 80 - 120km/h 4.51 seconds 3rd gear 80 - 130km/h 5.87 seconds 4th gear 80 - 120km/h 5.26 seconds 4th gear 80 - 130km/h 6.75 seconds Interestingly, on the first attempt of the 3rd gear 80-120 test I forgot to turn the air conditioning off, and the car ran a time of 4.98 seconds!!! The results for the edited car were... 3rd gear 80 - 120km/h 3.97 seconds 3rd gear 80 - 130km/h 5.30 seconds 4th gear 80 - 120km/h 4.54 seconds 4th gear 80 - 130km/h 5.80 seconds So, in 3rd gear, the edit is almost .5 seconds quicker than stock. In 4th gear, the gap blows out to .7 - .9 second.
